Can you add into your instructions how to get f2fs via TWRP. For those of us who are either on 2.2.8 or beta 10 and running ext4.

Instruction:

NB: Changing to f2fs will erase all data. Take nand backup and keep it safe somewhere like PC/usb

Ext4 will show DM-verity error

1.Install Titanium backup
2.Backup settings and user apps
3. Copy to PC
4. Goto wipe-- system -- repair and change to f2fs
5. Repeat the step for data also
6. Mount and copy rom.zip and supersu2.79 sr1
7.flash from and flash SuperSU
8.reboot and complete.install Titanium and restore data back

Best way to install:

1. flash oxygen recovery
2. adb sideload Rom.zip
3. boot to fast boot and flash twrp28
4. Boot to recovery and install supersu2.79sr1
5.reboot and enjoy

Zero errors in second method.working like charm

Finally upgraded to Android 7 with Oxygen OS 4.0. I was on OOS 3.28 and rooted with TWRP recovery. And many posts online were confusing and misleading too or may be I did not get them right. Anyways this is what I did.
Downloaded the 1.4 gb OOS update zip and twrp 3.2.1.28 image from the links in first page of this thread and then downloaded the latest Super SU 2.79 SR2 from chainfire website. placed all of them in internal storage.
Backed up all apps and data using titanium backup as always.
Reboot to TWRP recovery. using install image option, flashed the downloaded twrp 28 img.
Reboot System and then went back to recovery.
wiped data, cache , dalvik . It is the standard wipe in TWRP menu.
In the install menu added the OOS 4 update zip and supersu zip in that ordered and flashed. There were couple of lines in RED saying E:/ command something. But no errors were mentioned. both the flashes showed success message in the log.
reboot system. It autoamtically rebooted once again and then there you go Nougat configuration page.
go through the steps and setup the phone. then installed titanium backup from playstore and then restored the apps and data back.
The update is smoother and the nougat UI changes are nice. But the notification window UI change is not to my liking. otherwise it is normal.

So the F2Fs formatting is just to avoid DM-verity error, nothing else...
F2FS shortens app opening times by about 20% and is faster overall. Probably even more important are improvements "behind the scenes" - more even wear of memory cells, auto-trim ... technical stuff.
Long story short: ext4 is an old filesystem designed for spinning magnetic hard drives, F2FS is new filesystem designed for SSDs/flash storage.
