Would be great if you could point out additions of this rom which other roms or RR roms don't have....

Eg :

1.Signature spoofing
2. Screen calibration app
3. Auto call recording etc
And the network permission.
From status bar choosing mobile data between 2 sims which makes my life easy to switch betweek poor signal networks.

@nicesoni_ash i saw u got mx player custom codecs in your afh ,what are they for ? Is it working on 1+3too are are they for the 1+2 .
Thanks again
And cheers 47727752LN791591Y ;)
I built them once when I was interested in maintaining custom codec thread here on xda, nothing specific to a device.

2. Provide logs, I'll have a look. I have a different implementation for charger tones and that could be the reason.
Things that are reproducible in official RR
- I'll hold on to look at stuff that falls in this category for now
PFA logs (3text files on various timings)

True.., by screen calibration app you mistaken that to screen stabilization app I guess. Auto call rec was available in Zenity RR hence I guess it's available in Official..
But unique things here,
-Diff design Battery circle #LOVEIT
-Torch off timeout if turned on 4m screen off long press power
- Default MTP mode instead of Charging #LOVEIT
- Sensor block per package
- Revamped Data sim selecter within QS panel #LOVEIT
- Delta updates
- included matlog
- Vibrate/sound when charger connect/disconnect
- Network permission to apps can be restricted individually via Privacy guard (unsure if it's there in official)
- Doesn't pack built-in Magisk or GCam. Users can go their options
- No such things like weekly updates and readily updated when required #LOVEIT
- Very very active Dev support @nicesoni_ash☺️ and welcomeness to discuss about new features/bugs #LOVEIT #LOVEIT #LOVEIT??

Why no drain on lte? :silly:

Even i was wondering the same.....
Setup : latest soni
Gapps : open pico
Magisk : 14.3

Module : GMS doze...

Using wakeblock app and blocked almost all wakelocks and set them to wake @ 100000 milli seconds

Getting almost zero idle drain..... Gonna test it tonight after full charge ....

And before someone may ask, I don't have any lags, notifications deliver on time, audio works fine, ambient display is off...

There is not much to do in nougat builds, also there is hardly any updates from RR side except some security patches so I will be stopping nougat builds finally for good. I am not sure if I'll be releasing any updates next month to add security patches for next month so please don't ask for that.

Looks like RR is still a long way to release oreo builds since lineageos team is taking its time so I won't be working on any bug reports or feature requests if they were posted after my last build.

I'll be experimenting with oreo builds now and start adding stuff on my own one by one (which I find interesting and can be added by me).

Of course I'll work on op2 builds first since I have that device and once it's good enough, I'll try building for other devices.

Nougat's been fun, let's hope oreo will be much more.

Totally respected your decision to halt working on RR nougat.. Since that A2DP bug is kinda critical and isn't there in other RR builds, I was venturing out to modify /sys to prevent that bug from happening.. As of now I disabled that Charger connect alert and restart SysUI every time it occurs as temp workaround..

Your last build is totally fine except that one bug.. Either way, Thanks a lot for your work here...!

Awesome to hear that.., Expecting More exciting times on your Oreo adventure when its public..!.

you can bet it is, i'm running oreo builds on my nexus 6 and it's a game changer. first "whow" experience since years, at least for me, didn't even know that there is so much room for improvement OS-Wise. blazing fast and not just a bit but a lot quicker than nougat and before.

it's not been often that i so eagerly look forward to get oreo for all my devices and of course i mean the right rom which for me is RR for years, only Bliss has been on par for one year :)

Important: This rom is not maintained anymore and therefore end-of-support. There is no development anymore, no updates to be expected and if there are bugs, they will not be fixed anymore.

I am building on Google servers and soon my Google account trial is going to end. So I'll have to start building on my pc again and it's been a pain building on my pc as it's not that good compare to a server so I either have to fully stop these builds which I don't want or reduce updates. I am being forced by my friend who only use my builds to keep building and even though the user base is not big but I understand few users do enjoy my builds so I'll try to build for op3/op3t but I may have to reduce the frequency of my updates compare to op2 as I officially maintain that device and do own it. I hope you understand that I am not abandoning these builds. ☺️

ok, so this is the update.

I gave up op2 maintainership and will build unofficial builds for op2. I have decided to continue these builds too since I am no more a maintainer officially. I will however test them personally on my friend's phone before releasing them so I am thinking I will keep these builds weekly or something. Will be confirmed once I release my next update. I am going to make a tg group for testers for these builds too as I can't test thoroughly within a short span of time.
