just a small mod which enable the 40MHz 2.4GHZ WiFi mode (150MBit instead of only 72MBit with 20MHz)

works with EVERY ROM ever made for OnePlus 3/T (and basically many more qualcomm devices)

the mod survives updates (except OxygenOS because OOS has no addon.d support)

this should improve your wifi performance when you use 2.4GHz WiFi (and the router support 150MBit connection but most do). you should notice it when you are in an area of your home where the WiFi is not so good. just make a speed test before and after the mod, then you know if this will improve your WiFi or not

later i can make an ADDON.D script so it will reenable the feature on every OTA or manual update, but for now you need to flash it every time you update your rom

update-binary

This works on OB10?

I'm confused.......so this is a test if there are any problems with 40 MHz WiFi???? Did you do this test and reach a conclusion? What are the results of the test? Are there problems with the 40 MHz WiFi on OP3? Does this improve your WiFi Speed?

i never had problems, and basically there should't be any. but to be sure, it's better when many people can test it. and yes, your wifi speed can improve a lot. just make internet speedtests before and after the MOD

So.. Just flash the zip? Or we need to enter the terminal info as well?

Before mod:
45/10 2G
100/10 5G

After mod:
45/10 2GHz
110/10 5Ghz
(Tests were done 3x to average results)

So even though this doesn't touch anything to do with the 5Ghz got faster speeds so I'll take it

Tested.

Since this is a WiFi modification, I used an App to test the Speed of my internal WiFi network.....NOT an external Internet speed test. Since Internet Service Providers do not and cannot provide speeds near the limits of our Wireless Routers, this is a more objective/suitable test for this WiFi Modification. The app is named WiFi Speed Test

Below are my results using Marshmallow BJRR ROM and Elemental X Kernel.

Before Modifcation:

Signal Strength -41 dBm
Channel 40
Link Speed 433 Mbps
Average of 156 Mbps Upload to transfer a 100 MB data size
Average of 173 Mbps Download to transfer a 100 MB data size

After Modifcation:

Signal Strength -41 dBm
Channel 40
Link Speed 433 Mbps
Average of 155 Mbps Upload to transfer a 100 MB data size
Average of 167 Mbps Download to transfer a 100 MB data size

Conclusion:
Modification did not show any change. Nothing improved, nothing degraded.

because you have used the 5GHz WiFi AC. this mod enable the 2.4GHz 150Mbit instead of only 72MBit. this mod is for users who use the 2.4GHz WiFi
