Anyone know if root kills Netflix hdr, hdr etc on the 7 Pro? This was the case on earlier OnePlus phones, but I have a Pixel 3XL rooted and keep hdr Netflix content with no issues.

Was never an issue on the OnePlus 6T, I don't see the 7 Pro having an issue either.

He probably doesn't know how to check to see his security level for Widevine. If he's rooted he's on security L3 not L1

It varies device to device. Pixels (and apparently your HTC) retain L1. A bunch of Chinese devices do too - Xiaomi, etc.

My pixel 3xl had the widevine keys deleted from vendor firmware_mnt after I unlocked.
So be careful, you might not get the keys back.

I will relock soon and see if it helps

People on Reddit have had the same problem and re locking didn't change it

I'll try it soon and see if it made a difference
But definitely something to keep in mind...

You should Magisk hide Netflix. Apparently some people are able to retain L1 (it should be impossible with unlocked bootloaders.. Oneplus will lose l1 status upon unlock..) I'll see about trying to keep l1 on oneplus 7 pro.
