What's working
Everything but NFC (I've already a fix for that, I'm just wondering if it's better to ship it as a patch or what.)

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

• Extract the zip
• Flash the image via adb with

  fastboot flash system <imagename>

• Wipe with stock Huawei Recovery

NOTE:It may bug a bit on the first boot, but a reboot will suffice to remove any trace of quirks.

Dear user,
this is just a temporary measure due to Huawei media/camera stack cockiness.
As soon as there will be a more generic fix that will be shipped in the GSI project, I will revert again to GSIs.
Still, this ROM is a GSI with a couple of fixes to get Camera working and you will still need what's in the AIO thread.

I flash it on my Honor 9. It works well. But Quick Charge doesn't work. And WiFi hotspot doesn't work either.
I root it with Magisk 16.7

Actually not true. Many Huawei/honor phones are the same internally so you can use the same roms on different phones.

Possibly, you can try. Should work if it's a Kirin.

Yeah,true,but the Mate 9 has a Kirin 960 while the P8 Lite 2017 has a Kirin 655 so I don't think it will work though and from experience I saw that these phones can be very easy to brick so I wouldn't risk it.

It could boot, and works well. At least my P10P works well.
