I created an hybrid version that should work both on Oreo and on Pie.
OP was updated with that new version. Could you please test it on Oreo?
Thanks !
I first uninstalled 1.0, rebooted, then installed 3.0.
Unfortunately it does not work : NFC tile and NFC settings disappeared when using 3.0 module.
Going back to 1.0 brings NFC back.

I installed your new Magisk module (Honor 6X, Kirin 655, AL20, RRos 8.1 by OpenKirin)
NFC does not work.
Please upload the module, but the version for GSI Oreo 8.1
In my opinion, it is better to leave separate modules for Oreo and Pie

Thank you both for your tests on Oreo!
I added again to OP the first version of the module (Oreo) and also the respective TWRP flashable zip.
This time, I changed the module's ID so the update should not appear on Magisk's app.
Could you please test these changes to confirm?

I also updated the Pie version to v3.0, removing a few unncessary libs.

It works fine.
But magisk manager still shows 3.0 as an update

What is your Android version, Magisk version, logs, etc?...

Can't understand your problem with only "it doesn't work"...

Is it possible that your vendor is a little outdated? Which version is it?

Ok, attached you will find my logcat filtering failures and my magisk logs. I'm not sure if they are of any help, if you want more, please do tell...
I'm on PixysOS-v2.2-20181013-hi6250-OFFICIAL. Android is pie 9.
All of my partitions are completely up to date. In order to flash that ROM I went fully back to stock using the latest EMUI 8.0 offered in firmware finder.

Could you please check if you have a file named "vendor.huawei.hardware.nfc@1.0-service" on the folder "/vendor/bin/hw"?

The logcat has warnings about that file as missing...

Hi. I’m running also the last PixysOS ROM and I’m experiencing the same NFC issue:

Logcat shows these lines all the time:

Code:
10-14 15:17:20.098 W/ServiceManagement(3485): Waited one second for android.hardware.nfc@1.0::INfc/default. Waiting another...

10-14 15:17:25.349 W/vendor.huawei.h(16662): type=1400 audit(0.0:5644): avc: denied { getattr } for path="/product" dev="mmcblk0p55" ino=2 scontext=u:r:hal_nfc_default:s0 tcontext=u:object_r:unlabeled:s0 tclass=dir permissive=0

10-14 15:17:25.385 F/linker (16662): CANNOT LINK EXECUTABLE "/vendor/bin/hw/vendor.huawei.hardware.nfc@1.0-service": cannot locate symbol "_ZN7android4hidl4base4V1_08BnHwBaseD1Ev" referenced by "/system/lib64/android.hardware.nfc@1.0.so"...

vendor.huawei.hardware.nfc@1.0-service file seems to be there...

Thanks for your help and work.

Regards.

It's there

Edit: Askuccio_DROID is the developer of the ROM. He posted a reply on page 1. He might be able to offer more help...
