That error comes most times when installing the rom from usb drive.
Which filesystem do your external sdcard have ?
I installed it from a exfat formatted external sdcard and the recovery in my signature with no problems.

It should work very well since p20 lite has hi6250 chipset. It doesn't matter if it's A-only. To install you need to remove the assert line from updater script

Have installed this rom and love it. Smooth UI and also smooth performance while playing Rogue Assault.
AOSPE 6.4 is a bit like playing with handbrakes on, your rom released that brake, so i stay with this rom for now.

And i have a question about activating the flashlight via Power Button long press. Is there an option for this to set ?

I get bootloop after clean install.
Treid it twice now.

I came from Oreo (PRA-LX1C432B375), unlocked BL, FRP Unlock. Flashed TWRP, wiped system, data, cache, dalvik, flashed Rom, flashed Gapps.
Always when I try to boot it up, it shows the DotOS boot animation for a while, then restarts.
After the third reboot it shows up the eRecovery screen about "serious problems".

What did I wrong?

I am using the TWRP from Askuccio (Fixed build 3.2.3.0), is that wrong?

I'm really starting to dislike this device, when it comes to custom roms. I just had three days fixing-session because the device was messed up. FInally I got it working again, and now I cannot get this rom to work. I guess I'll stick with Oreo then.. :-/
But if anyone could tell me what I did wrong here, I'll be grateful.

Already tried that. Doesn't work.

I'm thinking about what is actually required? Do I have to be on EMUI 9 maybe?? There aren't any helpful hints in the OP regarding that. I came from EMUI 8, just to remember.


EDIT: It works. I flashed the rom, then re booted to fastboot mode and flashed recovery_ramdisk.img (from stock rom), performed a factory reset and wipe cache, then booted the rom. Reflashed TWRP, flashed Gapps, done

- Wipe system data cache dalvik & art
- Flash DotOs and boot it up
- flash gapps

I had to flash the stock recovery after the installation, perform factory reset and wipe cache, boot up the rom, then reflash TWRP and flash Gapps.

I know all you guys are more exprienced with Huawei/Kirin devices, as I come from totally another devices, that aren't such complicated. It took me actually a lot of additional time to gather that information (to flash stock recovery again, just to perform a "clean" wipe), etc. So it might help others a lot if you just would provide such important information in the OP or something. For newcommers it can be very confusing!

Does MAgisk work with this rom?

Damn, this rom is fast! Pretty stable and nice.

- Only problems I had - although minor ones - "preparing for setup" didn't continue. I had to force stop and disable it.
- I wasn't able to get GDrive to run properly, and so Whatsapp didn't want to grab my backup. However, I solved it by re-installing those apps.

This rom is working fine with Magisk / EdXposed and all modules I've tested so far.

Well, actually I have issues with syncing my stuff from google. I'm missing my contacts, gdrive works, but don't want to sync with Whatsapp (still).

This is not a DotOS problem. Change Gapps.
