Hi,
First of all, thank you for developing this ROM.
I am now facing a problem: My phone was stuck on the booting page (Get Connected?) after install the ROM and I can't open it after 10 minutes of waiting, could you please help me how to fix it?
The phone model is TL00 and I get an error message as "E:Unknown Command“ but I don't know why.
Thank you in advance!

Hi,
I've recently installed this ROM. The installation ended successfully but there's a problem. I can not unlock my phone with fingerprint sensor because there isn't the option to set it. It doesn't appear during the first set up too.

EDIT:
Solved by flashing again the ROM. Now i have a bigger problem... why my phone is automatically rebooting itself every minute?

Hi, I restored the phone for my wife ... I do not remember how to use the fingerprint detector ... I tried from TWRP recovery to delete the files as indicated in the guide (excluding the settings_fingerprint.xml file because it does not find it ....), but there is nothing to do the detector of fingerprints don't work ... how can I do? Thank you!

Hi there!

My phone is on the custom rom [ROM][7.1.2][LineageOS 14.1 for Huawei P9].

Can I flash this rom directly? Do I need to flash back to stock rom first?

Thanks in advance.

STuck on boot animation

Resurrection-remix-logo.png

I did install it in my p9 eva L19 with instructions just didn't remove fingerprint. It stuck on boot animation, i did change the file system to ext4 and also waited almost 30 minutes for it to boot. Is it because of fingerprint?

Good News: Resurrection Remix OS 7.0.1 Beta 1 it's available on https://openkirin.net/download/
Bad News: It's available only for EMUI 9 devices...
Bottom Line: Hope to see it compiled for EMUI 8 devices in the next days so we can enjoy it on our beloved P9.

Problems to restart

Hi, i installed this rom on my p9 device and all was perfect. I did the first configuration and everythings works good..i just have one problem..when i power off my device and i turn on it again the rom doesnt start..device remains with the intro logo still charging on the device and i have to enter to recovery, make a factory reset and then it works again...but this disturbing me so much becouse i have to configurate everything from the beginning like it was the first configuration. Why? You have some solution?
P.S.: this happened only when turn off and turn on, if i reboot system everithing is ok!
thank so much for you works

---------- Post added at 09:42 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:26 AM ----------

In OP you can see this :

i have the same problem and i have android 7 (nougat) with emui 5.0.1
But this problems appears when i turn off the device and thern turn it on again..stuck and the logo and i have to wipe to factory reset and start again from first configuration.
If i restart system (withouth turn off and turn onn, but simply restart device from restart menu) this not happens..

Hi. If you could make a video it would be helpful.
Because I tried to follow your steps and my phone was ruined.
It was in brick quite a while, I am in the EMUI 5 of an EVA L09.
I have the OpenKirin TWRP, I just need the clear guide when installing the room.

If I recall correctly, check the OP posts, this ROM is for P9 with Nougat - if you rebranded your P9 to Chinese and upgraded to stock Oreo, then there are different Open Kirin ROMs for your phone

Why I'm writing so: because there is a TWRP for P9 rebranded to Chinese and upgraded to Oreo, and that TWRP was adapted from P9 Plus (= Vie), and that TWRP works just fine but on P9 (=Eva) but rebranded to Chinese and upgraded to Oreo - but somebody did not finish the job of porting that TWRP to P9 and I remember that I've seen that TWRP printing errors like yours

So if you rebranded your P9 to Chinese and upgraded to Oreo (EMUI 8), then you are trying to install wrong ROM

But if you are still on Nougat (EMUI 5), then ROM should be ok but you are using wrong TWRP - you must be using TWRP for P9 with Nougat (EMUI 4, 5 and 8 have different layout of partitions and different encryptions, hence TWRP versions/adaptations must be used)

Hi Sir,

Thanks for your reply.

I didnt rebrand my phone and i am using EMUI 5.0.3. Rebrand & update tool look so confusing for me. This is the reason why i use Android 7.0 rom. (If can use rebrand tool, i can update my phone to newer rom... :) )

Could you please tell me which TWRP must i use to install this rom on my stock Android 7.0 official rom... (with link if possible)

Thank you so much again...

For EMUI 5 on P9, use the TWRP from that thread (btw, that was an excellent custom ROM based on EMUI 5)

May be i can use this thread's TWRP but i cant use this posts rom because of my rom is B389 and this room needs B394 minimum... :(
Given TWRP is for EMUI 5, no matter which build number

If you use a valid SIM card, phone should have been updated to the latest EMUI 5. It can be also updated manually - btw, what is your full version name and number (Settings/About) like EVA-L09c432b389 or what
