Taking the plunge into 100% dirty BBL

Flashed and running. So far, can't turn on wifi calling. I'll check again after all updates are updated

Installed, everything running smoothly this far. Haven't used DU in awhile, so I'm excited to be running it again. I plan on getting Magisk up and running later on.

Edit: Magisk installed, no issues.

Well, that's strange.. our local Verizon glutton @Surge1223 is on Verizon and doesn't have issues as far as I know.

When's the last time you flashed stock to get inline with the firmware?

Right before I was on aosip rom. Then flashed this

Working from home so maybe I'll -w latest firmware then reflash this again and see

Wifi calling is on, can't send texts get or make calls

Clean flashing, it should work. It definitely sounds like an old firmware issue.

When you were on AOSIP, were you on the July build?

Hey @Surge1223 how are you? I reset firmware from factory, reflashed and I have calls and texts and wifi calling

I'm sure I sound like a broken record but just wanted to thank you for the follow-up that you found the fix and let folks know. It goes a long way when people search for an answer. :good:

I follow DU on Twitter and have for some years now. Matter a fact that's why I rejoined Twitter, because DU updates were posted there. I read the message about you guys have stopped from here

I just wanted to say that I, like many others loved you guys since day one!! I always knew if DU was available for a device I was purchasing that it would always be stable and work properly which has always been true. You guys are all legendary in my book and will always be some of the most respected developers there ever was on Android! I'm still following you too btw. :p Haha. Thanks for all the years you guys made DU and for all the work all of you have done on Android! Much respect and love always!

Yeah, just tried it and no luck, so you're probably right. Oh well, thanks for the help.........back on topic:

@NYCHitman1 Will DU ever go back to Weekly's, or will it stay with the monthly security cycle for the long term?

    Thanks

We generally move out of weeklies once the cycle begins slowing down, so to answer your question: yes -- weeklies will come back, but not until next cycle. For now, it will only be monthly builds coinciding with the Q security releases. I don't imagine that there will be many more Q builds either (maybe 1 or 2) since R is right on the horizon with an anticipated codebase release date of the week of Sept 7th.
