LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of android, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock android for your device.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. If you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit our Wiki for more details.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
1. When using twrp it will ask if you want to install the twrp app. Make sure you tap "DO NOT INSTALL".
2. If you care about your stuff, make a backup in TWRP first, just in case. Transfer it to a pc, along with your stuff in /sdcard.
3. The newest vendor, radio, & bootloader img's are included in my builds, so no need to worry about flashing those manually.

Downloads:
marlin rom - https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=4349826312261728420

sailfish rom - https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=4349826312261728448

NOTE: official opengapps zips are broke for all pixel devices, so use one of these that i fixed.

Instructions:
FOR INITIAL INSTALL
1. boot into twrp and select wipe, then swipe to factory reset.
2. install rom zip.
3. if you want gapps, reboot into bootloader and fastboot boot twrp, then install the opengapps zip.
4. if you want root you can later boot into twrp and flash the magisk zip. Don't install magisk during initial install. That's known to cause bootloop.
Reboot & enjoy.
NOTE: If you're on lineage 16.0 and you don't want to wipe data, you can flash this migration zip right before flashing 17.1 rom. FYI, the migration might not work properly since 17.1 is still in-work, so you may end up just having to wipe data.

FOR UPDATING
1. boot into twrp or lineage/aosp recovery.
2. install rom zip.
3. if you use gapps or magisk, reboot into bootloader and fastboot boot twrp, then install those zips.
Reboot & enjoy.
or
1. If you have access to linux or macos (or even wsl), you can use the push_update script following these steps here. This will use the built in lineage updater. No recovery involved, and if you have a gapps zip or magisk zip installed, it will be retained.

I had that but it was because I also wiped system and cache. I reflashed stock and only wiped data and now Google apps work except for Gmail
