Isn't it here on your end?

Sent from my Pixel XL using XDA Labs

Ok, that's all I need to know. I think that with the sailfish build something went wrong, or that I am missing a network related component. I'll try to sort it out.. don't know how long it'll take me. Stay tuned ;)

@spezi77 as a loyal, long-time user of Pure Nexus, I would like to tell you that Pixel Dust is awesome. After finally taking the plunge over the weekend I am really happy with all aspects of this ROM. It's now my daily driver and I don't see me switching any time soon. Your work is very much appreciated!

Play Services Battery Drain

I second the thought that this indeed a well built ROM Kudos to the dev.
However, I am not getting the optimal battery performance in this ROM. The "Google Play Services" tops the list. Is it just me or anybody else is having an issue like this and How to address this issue?

You can remove "g play service" from "doze whitelist". You can download a magisk module called "sysconfig patcher" or go /system/etc/sysconfig/google.xml. Search the gmscore part and replace those lines with this
<!-- GmsCore must always have network access for GCM and other things. -->
<!-- <allow-in-power-save package="com.google.android.gms" /> -->
<allow-in-data-usage-save package="com.google.android.gms" />

Maybe I'm to stupid but where is the option to set the clock in the middle of the statusbar? Just find left & right

Already same.

Any other options?

No center, only Left & Right.

FC: Alipay, TaoBao, 1688.com + No LTE Toggle

Dear @spezi77,

First of all thank you for this gorgeous ROM. I really like it and it's really really smooth.

But I cannot use these 3 apps: Alipay, Taobao, Alibaba (1688) - ALL of them instanly crash on startup.
Since currently I am living in China it's necessary for me to use them, but I cannot.
Btw all of them were developed by Alibaba company.

I guess I am having the same problem @churhmice had in this post

And could you pls add the LTE quick settings toggle in the next release?

I would really appreaciate your help with this matter. Thank you. :)

I think I may be missing something here - is there a way to enable Developer Options with this ROM (this question is largely rhetorical)? When I go to "About Phone", the PixelDust version details are there and the usual "tap build number 7 times" no longer works... I've searched around this thread, but am not finding anything yet....

What's going on with the lock screen in the May build? I'm constantly seeing the lock screen go unresponsive (like won't turn on/won't get passed AOD screen) with anything but the power button being physically pushed and then the screen just flashes and skips the passcode/fingerprint all together... Kind of a major security flaw, can't seem to find a reason.

Also the "show charging info on lockscreen" toggle doesn't work, it shows no matter what. And the music ticker on ambient display/lockscreen doesn't work either.

It should be enabled by default, it was on my installation. Maybe you didn't notice it in the system settings?

Lockscreen works as expected on my Pixel XL. Maybe it is a sailfish specific problem. Did you try a clean flash?

Some settings require a reboot to take effect. I just figured that out recently.

Maybe, because it's really bad. I turned AOD off and it seems like it's more than 60% of the time I pick up my phone the fingerprint doesn't work (like nothing happens when I touch it), the screen won't turn on by double tap, and when I hit the power button it visually glitches really briefly and just goes right to the homescreen, no passcode needed

And that might be why, I feel like I did reboot but maybe I didn't

this worked for me

1) Clean flash stock image ( April )
2) Setup pattern lock and copy twrp.zip and rom.zip into internal storage
3) Boot into fastboot mode
4) fastboot boot twrp.img
5) wipe -> advanced wipe -> clean all but internal storage
6) install rom.zip
7) install twrp.zip
8) reboot into twrp
9) reboot into system

Only a couple of gripes, when I swipe from right to left on the lower of the screen it turns my screen off, it's a pain when you use continuous input. Any way to disable this?

I like to set my display size to the smallest, but when I do it screws up my facebook app layout ( the top of the app changes it's layout and adds margins to the side of the facebook app, any way to stop it?

PixelDust ROM is an Android 11 ROM especially built for the current Google Pixel devices and aimed for stability at its core with themes and customizations.

Our philosophy is to offer all the features known from the Google Pixel Factory Images paired with a useful selection of the coolest custom ROM features.

Our project is based off directly from AOSP. We attach great importance to aesthetics, themeability and personalization. For this we have integrated a great selection of space wallpapers and a special theme app (many thanks to Dirty Unicorns for their code base) in the settings of the Android OS.

The PixelDust Crew would highly appreciate if you would take a little of your time and leave your valuable feedback, your honest opinion or just say hello. If you should encounter a bug, or some kind of glitch that seems to be abnormal and you are pretty sure that it is related to the ROM (and not related to any special apps or mods you flashed on top), then please give as many details as possible.

Special shoutouts to Roger.T for his amazingly designed wallpapers, logos and the best bootanimation I ever had on my Pixel!!! If you like our work, please consider to buy Roger the first beer, and a few more for the other team members and spezi77. Cheers!

    Attention

With this ROM, safety net check works out of the box!

Our builds use the safety net hack by kdrag0n. It is not necessary to root the device and patch it with Magisk to pass the safety net check.

    How can I use VoLTE?
Unfortunately IMS (VoLTE/ViLTE/WFC) is nonfunctional in Android 11 custom ROMs (same problem as with LOS 18.1).

    Battery life?
To improve battery life, please switch off Always On Display (AoD).
