If I'm not wrong, CAF is either made or supported by Qualcomm (CMIIW), our chipset brand. As we knew that Xiaomi gave us broken kernel source, so we currently not able to compete adequately with MIUI because we don't have all the sources needed to maximize the performance of our hardware. So, with the existence of CAF (I might not completely understand the whole situation and what actually CAF is), in your opinion, how are our chances to emulate the power of MIUI on our device using LOS based roms?

Copying and pasting from one of AOSP-CAF threads:
Code:
What's CodeAurora Forums ?

Code Aurora Forum (CAF) is a consortium of companies with projects serving the mobile wireless industry. Software projects it concerns itself with are e.g. Android for MSM, Femto Linux Project, LLVM, MSM WLAN and Linux-MSM. Code Aurora is basically AOSP plus all Qualcomm specific enhancements and optimization.
So instead of saying "based on LineageOS 14.1 kernel source", I say that it based on CAF kernel source with LineageOS updates and patches; typically because anupritaisno1 doesn't like that mentioning.

And yes, we have chances, but not 100% unless proprietary Xiaomi stuffs are open-sourced.

I'm on lineage and with custom kernel, battery is better than miui lately, I'm getting more than 2,5 day with one charge.
With MIUI I made 52 hours with one charge and now I have made 56 hours (and still 4 left).

When fully charged i'll install this KudKernel to see if it's better in battery saving

Same problem on Serbian mts network, if you use 2g and make a call signal drop for ~10db.

@krasCGQ Do you have any suggestions for kernel tuning app? I try to change parameters with kernel adiutor (CPU governor, frequency and adreno idler) they apply on boot but it switch back on default after some time.

Use latest version of Kernel Adiutor; beta version if possible.

Wow, that's nice to know. I was also got nice battery life on RR, even without custom kernel at that time. However, my point here is about maximizing our hardware potential performance.

This kernel is ONLY tested against LineageOS 14.1 and ResurrectionRemix-N. It should work on other LineageOS 13.0/14.1 based ROMs, but compatibility isn't guaranteed at all on LineageOS 13.0 based ROMs. Continue at your own discretion.

In plain language: Try yourself.

I'm using that recovery actually. Based on Anik's F2FS compatible TWRP. As long as you're not on Chinese-branded recovery, you shouldn't have problems installing the zip.
