You have perfect kernel, perfect roms, what you expect more? Like something magically will happen with kernel update. Not saying that dev is not doing great job, but think people please, you wont get snapdragon 835 with kernel update..

With this statement you are proving you have 0 knowledge about ROM and kernel development. There's always something to fix, to update, even if it doesn't have a visible impact on the system. There's no such thing as perfect and bugless software.

Yeah, true you are right, but I wanted to say if everything works normal why so much panic, if you understand :)

FK r6 has some issues: it has some microstutter issues, and the battery percentage doesn't update correctly after the phone wakes from deep sleep. So I would not say everything is normal. I would say everything is on its way to become normal.

And if you flash in NOS you will lost the imei

Enviado desde mi Redmi Note 3 mediante Tapatalk

Nobody in their right mind would flash NOS to use it with custom kernels. The dude behind it won't stop using those ridiculous post boot .sh scripts so you should not use it if you want custom kernels or not use it at all. The ROM itself is good but comes with some inbuit questionable stuff.

    Hi all.

    Compatibility:
Builds starting with r1 are for Lineage OS 14.1 based roms.
Builds starting with r13 are also for Android Oreo 8.1.0 roms.

    Download:
From my webserver choose the Kernel with the most recent version number. Older releases for older Android versions are in the parent directory:
    Android 7.1.2: https://kernels.franco-lnx.net/RedmiNote3/7.1.2/anyKernel/
    Android 8.1.0: https://kernels.franco-lnx.net/RedmiNote3/8.1.0/anyKernel/
or from my Updater app. It's just easier and more convenient:
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.franco.kernel

    Installation:
Flash the zip in your recovery
    or
Auto-flash from Franco Kernel Updater app

    Features:
    1 - Legendary battery life
    2 - Flash & forget
3 - Typical interfaces like display adjustments, sound control, vibration control, and all that boring stuff
4 - Bypasses the verified boot flag for Android Pay compatibility (root still breaks Android Pay but that's your own problem)
5 - Idle power consumption reduced to the absolute minimum (if you have wakelocks from 3rd party apps you're obviously on your own)
    6 - Support for FKUpdater's Performance Profiles
7 - Magical support, I'm here every day, checking posts almost hourly, ready to help anytime (well, unless you fail to read the OP, which contains most info you need)
8 - Seemless integration with my app FKUpdater
9 - No useless placebo patches, or "magical" optimizations
10 - Probably more, check my github for all the details - the code speaks for itself

Franco Kernel: Manager & Updater demo

    Disclaimer to moderators:
Slight OT is fine, but when users decide to act stupid they should be dealt with with the appropriate means - its really annoying for me when OT turns crazy. Please put the warning/ban hammer anytime any of you think there's lack of respect and/or too much unwanted OT crap - but if it doesn't meet this criteria let the OT posts alone. Thank you.

    Cheers!

Also I'm pretty fresh on this device so if I missed anything let me know, if it makes sense I'll add it.

New Franco Kernel version for the Redmi Note 3

    r5
    1. Improvements on the charging situation. QC2.0 supports up to 3A of charging draw so we allow it. To counter excessive heat now this thing throttles charging amperage quite dramatically using Qualcomm reference values. You don't need to worry about any of this though, it's all handled for you
    2. Fixed a bug which was causing the hardware interrupt handler to be in a non-working state and constantly trying to turn itself back on & off. Now it's fixed
    3. Give it a slight headroom for the little cluster to quickly respond to load changes. Those little cores are ~5x less power hungry than the big cores, so we're fine letting them scale more aggressively
    4. sepolicy changes should now work fine with Magisk root users

Franco Kernel Manager & Updater is the best companion for this Kernel (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.franco.kernel)

I also strongly suggest you install Naptime (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.franco.doze), for free, to achieve the best battery life through out the day. Try it, you won't be disappointed!

New Franco Kernel version for the Redmi Note 3

    r6
    1. Improved compatibility with Nitrogen custom rom by preventing their custom post-boost script to run and properly apply default FK values
    2. Follow the latest changes from LineageOS related to Goodix users. You'll need to be on a fairly recent custom rom (building from LineageOS sources or using their Goodix related patches) to have it working
    3. Merged some patches from LineageOS which include some important fixes and changes
    4. Screening on should be a couple milliseconds faster and more responsive
    5. Max frequency on the big cluster is now raised to 1.8GHz following LineageOS's changes
