CyanogenMod 14.0/14.1 for Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Snapdragon version​

Hi all,

This is a initial WIP cyanogenmod 14.1 build based on nougat. Since cm is very much in alpha stage there are bound to be lot of cm related bugs and device related bugs as well. Flash only if you want to.


What works ?
  • Wifi
  • Bluetooth
  • Audio
  • Camera
  • RIL
  • GPS
  • Fingerprint
  • Other basic things

What doesn't ?
  • CM related features or anything that's out of my scope and in CM scope
  • Goodix fingerprint should not be working ( not tested yet )
  • Stuff that i might have not noticed

Changelogs :

16/11/2016:
  • Sync with latest CM source (android_7.1.0_r7 and latest CM stuff)

    Note : Cm has added Reliance jio apn by default now to their apn list and there seems to be a small bug related to this. So check your apn properly if data connection isn't working in Jio ( I had to modify APN type to default,supl on my personal usage)

Note : I would recommend a clean flash of 05/11/2016 build as CM has database upgradation issue due to which you might face sim detection issue if dirty flashed

05/11/2016:
  • Sync with latest CM source.
  • Night display (accessed via quick tiles) is a addition from my end and is not a default CM feature

30/10/2016:
  • Initial CM14.1 release (please be noted that cm14.1 features might malfunction / totally nonworking )
  • Sync with latest CM
    ( VoLTE continues to work on a dirty flash if you were on my previous build) [ I just wiped cache and dalvik ]

17/10/2016 :
  • Sync with latest CM (some CM features work now)
  • Video recording should work fine now ( I recorded a couple of videos and captured few images. All look fine )
  • Initial blob level ( library support in ROM ) support for new camera sensors ( Kernel might still lack one or two new sensors )
  • Flac support
  • Improved device level performance
  • Other minor improvements

05/10/2016:
  • Sync with latest CM ( not much feature side, button backlight works nowthough)
  • VoLTE should now work out of the box. You don't need to flash tonnes of firmware zips ( Make sure you are clean flashing )
  • Camera fixes (Photo capture will work perfectly fine and won't crash anymore. Video recording is not still fully functional/functional totally)
  • Slightly improved performance and battery stability
  • Other misc changes

21/09/2016:
  • Sync with latest CM
  • Fixed the lags (device is smooth and normal now)
  • CM side issues such as external sd permission fixed ( fixed from cm side)

18/09/2016:
  • VoLTE support
  • Initial goodix support ( not tested yet and might be broken most likely. If u are going to test goodix flash my latest cm13 build and then come over to this rom )
  • Battery % bug fix ( -2%,50% thingy) [ I couldn't test because i have a older hardware]
  • Sync with latest CM
  • Minor improvements

13/09/2016 :
  • Sync with latest CM
  • Camera (photo capture) for other sensors
  • Night mode ( Access it from systemui tuner)
  • Should fix some performance issues ( make sure to switch to interactive after first boot)
  • other minor device level cleanups

Requirements to flash :

  • You need to have a unlocked bootloader to flash this in case anyone is going to flash.
  • Also you need to be on latest M firmware to flash the ROM.
  • You need to have TWRP installed
  • You also need to wipe data and install ROM followed by gapps

    New build (30/10/2016)

    Hi all,

    New updated has been released. This is the first main initial release (baring the experimental unofficial release)

    Changelogs :

    30/10/2016:
    • Initial CM14.1 release (please be noted that cm14.1 features might malfunction / totally nonworking )
    • Sync with latest CM
    • Previous issues such as shell not working in experimental build are now resolved
      ( VoLTE continues to work on a dirty flash if you were on my previous build) [ I just wiped cache and dalvik ]

    Note : I just dirty flashed over my last cm14 build and tested data connection with my LTE sim and i can confirm that browsing worked fine. Also note that i checked only on single sim. Please let me know if you have any issues in new build with valid repro scenario and logs

    Flash and have fun :) Do pass your rom feedback !
