Google Camera - Android P / Miui 10 global / xiaomi.eu - some tips

this topic is to sort out all the methods that work
These are the steps that I did myself and everything worked

If gcam force closing, install module from magisk camera2api enabler

I only share it to help you


On Pixel Experience (9.0):
1. Wipe everything
2. Install rom and magisk
3. Install module RN5 Camera Patch module v0.92b (Pie 9.0).zip
4. Restart to recovery from magisk
5. Wipe cache/dalvik
6. Restart to system
7. Install gcam
Everything should work on PE 9.0 , I did not have any problems with black photo from front or crash

On Global Stable miui 10

1. Wipe everything
2. Install rom and magisk
3. Reboot to system
4. Make first configuration
5. Reboot to twrp
6. Flash XRN5_Camera_TWRP_10.0.1.0_global in twrp
7. Wipe cache/dalvik
8. Reboot to system
If gcam doesnt work make this steps:
9. In magisk add module RN5 Camera Patch module v0.988a (Miui 10)
10. Reboot to twrp from magisk
11. Wipe cache/dalvik
12. Reboot to system
Now you should have fully working gcam like in android p

I couldn't make it fully work, sometimes it takes black photo from front, sometimes it doesnt take photo, then you must close gcam and reopen
What i have done:
1. Wipe everything
2. Install rom and magisk
3. Reboot to system
4. Install magisk module RN5 Camera Patch module v0.988a (Miui 10).zip
5. Reboot to twrp
6. Wipe cache/dalvik
7. Reboot to system
And... i tried a lot of patches, only this works sometimes

Thanks! The patch fixed the inverted front camera in Mi A2 Camera port. I'm in MSM X Pie, the attached gcam's front camera didn't work, so I installed the BSG 5.2 one and selected device as Pixel XL. Everything works great!

This patch works fine but hasn't 240fps slowmotion.
Latest patch is 0.989a has 240fps but hdr+ in front camera does not work.

Currently I don't use any app which has issues with the aspect ratio. Games(PUBG and Subway surfer) run full screen without issues.

Thanks, finally got it working on MIUI 10( Masik 1.2)
I mean it's kinda working, first gotta take HDR+ehanced with main camera, wait for it to process and then front hdr+ will work one time.

Hi, every time I install the Patch for PE 9.0 my RN5 loses his sounds.. Media,system,ringer...nothing work.
