That's not TWRP, that's LR TWRP (not the same thing at all), what do you don't understand ;__;

Of course, I've already installed this recovery. However, when I tried volup+power button, it went to 'MIUI recovery' instead of TWRP.

Just put the recovery img in the phone, repeat the procedure with fastboot, when you prompt on twrp just flash the twrp img from the phone memory and reboot on recovery, then reboot system

So this isn't working for me. It flashes and boots just fine but the touch doesnt work so I cannot do anything. Lineage 17.1 works but is super limited.
Any ideas on what I can do?

Check what display reference you have. It can be a second sourcing.
This case was reported on Redmi8 section. LR group will take care to adapt in short time if this is confirmed.

Too many info. Remove the attached file as soon as you can...
Your display is a new one from: TIANMA China (a good one).

sys.panel.display]: [TIANMA]


First delivery done in Asia are with Huaxing display and twrp fits this one.
That can explain your issue.
It gonna be corrected "shortly" because Chinese LR guys provide a good follow up.

Does it unlock with your pin PW?
If you are on Stock ROM you must format data in twrp and not format or wipe system.
