Note 8 port by @ridwan.sn with stock kernel. mutiple apps monitered to sleep after 1 day and greenified. No battery saving settings in use. No heavy games. Mostly WSOP along with a few calls and texts. Whatsapp also. Satisfied so far.

SOT is decent when used at a stretch like watching 2 movies back to back etc but if you take the SOT with mixed usage with hours of idle time then the SOT is way lesser.

My average is around 6 hours SOT with 14% remaining battery

Which sot do you get with stock oreo?
I get about max. 4 hours.
Can't see the improvement to nougat...
For me personally oreo is a step backward in battery life.. Did a clean install two times

I have disabled the below applications since I am not using them hoping to save more battery.

Does it really help? I have my device optimised for battery, Display set to full HD, auto brightness OFF, auto sync OFF, location OFF, WiFi scanning OFF, all applications are updated from PlayStore and Galaxy Apps, most applications background running is set OFF, always sleeping is ON for all apps other than WhatsApp and Messenger, network 2G and sometimes in Airplane mode, using black theme and wallpapers, vibration feedback OFF.

Suggestions please.

This is my 100-1 % result in a single charge, but as I said I never use Bluetooth and I'm on airplane mode since no Sim card.

How you guys are getting that much screen on time I mean some are geting 7 to 8 hours of SOT while I am getting 5.30 hours of SOT with continuous usage also phone Idle for 10 hours. Kindly help me how you guys are managing.

It could be the battery that has taken a toil. Maybe replace it.

Witout battery save

Hi,
A have stock oreo. I use it without cpu 70% setting and my sot is now around 5-6.5h. I think the 70% setting really made some gains in battery, but it broughed occaisional lag. You can try the cpu save setting, but that means the phone comes slower.

When i used custom rom and kernel in my lg g2 and g4.. It was clear that for battery you need optimized kernel. I am not a player so custom kernel would give me more sot. But i dont wanna root i have 1 year 2months warranty left.

In the picture its close to the max out of sot. I think the phone is aging well. About 1 year of use and about -1 hour in battery life.

This is so close to my stock setup. I feel Sabs and disabler gives me really good experiese witout root. But no dolby speakers and viper4android. That bugs me a bit.

So after 3 weeks with BatStock i switched to Moro kernel and i must say its sooooo good.
Today was a heavy day for me. Wifi on throughout. AOD on for some time. Bluetooth headset on more than half of the day. Watched a 2 hrs movie on about 75%brightness. Some youtubes here and there. Browse d internet alot. And ofcourse whatsapp and telegram nonstop. And few phone calls.


For some reason all those apps dont reflect on my screenshots but that's how i actually used the phone today.

I have been using my S7 Edge for 1 year and a half and this is my result. Completely stock and I disabled only a few apps in the settings. I think the results are good even to this day.

I always get between 4h30-6h SOT without any power saving tips,full stock and location always on. Here is some examples :

Why do i onlu get maximum 3 hours?? I use unrooted stock 8.0. 3g and 2g enabled. Auto brightness. Using greenify and fhd resolution. Using black theme. No vibration feedbacks.
