Known issues
- Low microphone volume reported in some apps

In my opinion its not the low volume but some apps uses microphone from the top of phone (mic for calls)

Problem can be seen in Facebook Messenger, Snapchat and Instagram
On Camera app it works fine

There is another problem. The battery consumes excessively while watching the video. The kernel needs to be edited. The idle single core work is great.

I don't know why but it has been 3 times that my phone, after locking it (power button), and some minutes, when i press the power button to use my phone nothing happens.

I have to reboot the phone using the hard way.
It didnt occured with the ancient rom, i don't know if it's the heat or else, weird.

I've not seen this issue. Is there any chance of grabbing a logcat next time it does it?

Cannot change preferred network mode

Hi, I've tried the workaround for switching to LTE but they did not work for me. Actually I found out that I can't change the preferred network mode at all. I've attached a logcat while switching network mode. Probably that helps to resolve the issue.

Hi,

Unfortunately the logcat doesn't reveal much.

What I have found in testing is that although you don't get LTE after a fresh install it usually comes online after an hour or so of just leaving the phone on and moving between cells. For example this morning I did a clean install and then I went out to the shops, when I got back home LTE had come online. It's almost like the modem is not provisioning the LTE until after some delay, but once it is provisioned it always comes straight back up after every boot. This might explain why I managed to force it online by re-registering on the network a couple of times (my previous workaround).

It may be something to do with the RIL blobs we use and and a combination of the latest modem firmware so I might try updating the blobs to see if it helps.

The only thing I can suggest is to make sure you are running the latest modem firmware (can be flashed using ODIN from the samsung firmwares available here: https://updato.com/firmware-archive-select-model).

Thanks for the hints. I thought that probably the exception of my device not being a CDMA phone might be related to the issue. I was already on the latest Samsung firmware before flashing Lineage OS the first time. Will that change anything if I flash the baseband using Odin?

If you were on the latest firmware then you should already have the latest modem firmware, this may actually be the cause of the issue if they introduced a new feature in the latest firmware that the HAL is not taking advantage of. I will play with the blobs and see if I can solve anything.

Also I am in the UK so I am also on a GSM network and not CDMA.

I'm trying to get microG working with this ROM, but I have problems to activate signature spoofing with Tingle. It says the ROM is odexed, is that correct? I thought all the Lineage builds are deodexed?

Hi, the Hardware Buttons like menu and tab switch buttons dont work with the rom on my A310X
The Phone needs the Software from the A310F and the Kernel from the A310M to work correctly

    Installation
    1. Download the latest LOS build and transfer it to your phone
    2. Install the latest TWRP (Available Here)
    3. Make a full backup (just in case something goes wrong)
    4. Do a full wipe (Cache, Dalvik Cache, Data, System)
    5. Install LOS
    6. If you are installing GApps do it at the same time (preferably in the same install queue)
    7. And finally boot, the first boot can take several minutes as it optimises all the apps

    I am currently uploading a new release.

    Thanks in part to a patch from @macs18max we now have working Bluetooth call audio.
    I have tested this on my cheap Bluetooth headset and my TomTom satnav, both work great now!

    Hi,

    I am off on holiday for a week so thought I would upload a quick update before I go.

    There are only a couple of fixes:
    • Kernel: Copy display colour correction tables from the A3 2017 to fix green tinge in low light mode
    • Device: Updated cancel_auto_focus logic in camera wrapper to try and solve a battery drain issue

    I have only applied part of Sekils panel changes to my tree, it does appear to have fixed the green screen issue but I will need your feedback as I may need to add the rest of the mdnie logic in as well.
