Yes you are correct it will become bloatrom but if sidebar is added then the rom will completely look like S5 styled Rom And i think the size of sidebar apps are quiet less. So you can consider adding one.

This problem happened with me also. Fix (Not official but worked for me) :p After flashing the kernel mount system and date, then flash the rom. Then do not reboot. Again mount the system then again flash the rom. Then reboot. (Your Problem is solved) If your problem is solved please reply.

the post is old that's why it is saying to install V3. But V4 is better than V3 and resolved many bugs and have faster bootup. So my recommendation is to use v4 rather than v3
