Well I noticed that I was not initially getting any 3g coverage so I checked what bands were enabled, I was only getting Edge in a known 3g coverage area. I had to enable the WCDMA bands. Again this could be isolated to just my scenario and not a common thing. All is working fine now.

Flashed this modem over the weekend. I like it. I did find that all the bands are not enabled by default at least not on my phone. I can attest to the GPS working much better. I have a office on the third floor and have never with any setup been able to get a lock to any satellite or even more...

Ok I have refrained from asking this but I can no longer stand not to. Does anyone one else have the problem of Odin seeming to finish, reset only to have the phone hang at the at&t logo. I usually have to continually flash stock and it will eventually complete. Any ideas?

I thought I had bricked my phone yesterday. It would not even power on. I was sure of it. I took out sim, external sd and battery and just let it set for a few minutes. Try that then start odin replace battery hold down both volume keys and insert the cable. Hope you get it going.

Really would like to have the android keyboard back. Swype just is not for me. I tried the download AxT9IME.apk which is actually the Samsung keyboard. The Android keyboard is LatinIME.apk I tried it from several different rom versions and always get FC's. Any ideas would be appreciated...

Well just flashed this kernel and all seems ok. Just wondering one thing. Sorry if it sounds stupid but I am a little OCD. Would like to remove the spalsh the comes up on boot that says GT-I9000 ..... I know in the grand scheme of things it really does not matter but again OCD. :p
