    Tried a dirty flash yesterday and ran up against the boot loop problem as well; the phrase "haste makes waste" comes to mind. Anyway did a full wipe using TWRP, problem solved. Thanks for your hard work and diligence Andy! BTW battery life has never been better. Thanks again.

    HDPI/ MDPI mis-statement Epic 4g =/= Epic 4G Touch. The Epic 4G is Sprint's equivalent of the Galaxy S1, where the E4GT is a Galaxy S2. Had that device not also been HDPI, you could have had the user blindly flashing it messing up their rom. You go on in your post to critique someone's reading...

    not being able to get into download mode = not good. there are also dongles out there that cost $5 +/-. might work. I believe you mentioned you have insurance, if that is true take the device to your local corporate Sprint store and play "Micky the dunce" i.e. I have no idea what happened to it...

I have "bricked" a few times and have been able to revive my phone using Odin (the pc version). seems as long as you can get the phone into "download"...
