Yep, seems to be a hit and miss for some people, its ROM specific but I couldn't find the problem. I've even used it on other platforms like my HOX and N7.

Viper ROM gets the least because of the bloat and features. If you want battery life at the highest, try Rebel or Clean ROM, but you'll miss out on tweaks. Sent from my HTC One XL using Tapatalk 2

RUU is basically flashing everything all over, including the radio, kernel, etc.

Instead of Viper, try CleanROM or RebelROM. The first is a lighter Sense ROM, and the latter is a mostly desensed one with AOSP touches. Viper is too bloated to get great battery life, but has tons of tweaks.
