That's the wrong TRWP image, though the CWM one looks like the correct one. Try flashing the TWRP for the Verizon HTC One from the DEV forum: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2416431 and report if it works.

Can you boot into the bootloader (boot holding power + volume down)? If so, can you select recovery and boot into it? You mentioned you flashed a recovery. Which one? Are you sure it was for the Verizon HTC One?

Really just a matter of preference and what you are after. This is the first phone I have owned that I am content running stock, other than a few apps that require root. It's actually faster for me to take the OTA and reflash custom recovery/supersu which are already on my computer than to wait...

I get the same error. However, casting to Chromecast on TV from the phone still works so it's not a huge deal. I've read that the error happens on non-rooted phones too, so hopefully Google and/or HTC will fix this.

Select restore and select the backup you wish to rename. You'll see an option to rename the backup instead of restoring.

If you get a chance, could you double check the file or re-upload it? It doesn't seem to be a valid zip and a quick hex view shows the file is pretty much empty 00s. At 33MB, I don't think there's too much to fear with this OTA, but let's wait and see what's actually in it.
