Trying to flash the ota that brings me from B27 to B29 (Android 6.0, M) so I restored my system image and the boot partition. I have not touched any other partitions since I unlocked my bootloader using this guide...

Would there be a way to use Xposed framework, to spoof the signature check the app does and make it seem as if the image was still valid?

This will not work on lollipop as mentioned in the first page of the post. Use the restore script to restore your device back to normal. You might need to use a custom recovery for this. Ask me if you need any help.

I think the thread might be mislabeled. I was made aware that the moto x only has a 720p screen not a 1080p one so I must have switched the links. But you can go ahead and try it (at your own risk of course), because even if it doesn't work reverting is very simple.

I've got a OPO but the Moto G is a still a great device to mess around with. but like you say I'd rather have performance over battery (up to a point that is).

So I just flashed the cm12s ota and now I am trying to re root my device. So I tried a couple different versions of twrp but none of them boot up when I run "fastboot boot recovery.img". This command worked very well in kitkat and that was what I used to check if the recovery was okay. Can...

Don't quote me on it but to make this guide work for OxygenOS you just can't reboot into the bootloader while flashing. Because if you reboot after flashing part of the bootloader then one half will be oxygen and the other half will be cm11s and that combination leads to a hard brick.

For all with bootloops, there is a major issue caused with a boot animation memory leak. Search on the forum to find the fix. You may need to delete the bootanimation binary.

Yeah remember to wipe /cache once in a while as it does reduce the lag significantly.

If you are really concerned I would recommend disconnecting the battery as that way no damage can occur to your phone. edit: As long as you turned it off asap the better the chance of it still working.
