you can use aroma gapps package and select what you want to be installed. try it out its the best way of having what you need, because stuff installed from recovery go to /system partition, therefore you will have more data left for whatever else you need later on...why let the whole system...

I lost root the last time i flashed franco over PA. (believe it was with PA 4.2 beta 3 and franco r13) try checking your root access, if you fail, simply re-flash PA without wiping anything (except for cache, maybe) and wait for a solution (or try flashing superuser via recovery)

initial setup wizard is from the gapps, not the rom...so you either flashed wrong gapps, or haven't flashed them at all.

i've tried a lot of roms and i must say that the aokp is my personal favorite, due to performances, and a very customizable interface. EIDT: i've tried mounting 32gb c4 and 2gb c2 cards and they didn't work on B5 stock....they worked with sosei.
