It's recommended, though not necessary. If you like livin' on the edge, try flashing without wiping /data ;)

Stock ROMs (and stock-based ROMs) indeed have Gapps included, but when the AOSP-based ones will hit the Internet, the Gapps package will be necessary. Sure, see here.

Hiya. Yesterday, when I was playing with AOSP, I came to an idea to extract the newest Google Apps from the stock Nexus 4 images. So I extracted them, made a flashable zip, and uploaded for you. Flash just after the 4.3 ROM. DO NOT flash on any Android older than 4.3! Download: Price...

The radio from the first post is just a stock 4.3 radio packed into flashable zip.

Download and install this then in Command Prompt execute: shasum path_to_the_downloaded_file and check if the sum matches the one from the first post.

The Email app is included in the ROM. Just flashed it on the clean Nexus 4 and it's present.

Radio zip updated to work with TWRP. Now there should be no problems with it. See the first post for download links.

It should work. I didn't change anything in Radio, just packed it and added some useful stuff to the ROM.

Baseband (radio) is the second zip. Bootloader not included. Titanium works great. Tested on TWRP 2.6.

For me it works great with 4.2.2 bootloader and radio. You can flash it if you want, though.

Link from the first post leads to the JWR66V download instead of a proper V1.1 version. JWR66V is the build leaked for the SGS4 PE and ported to Nexus 4 some time ago.
