Just my view, but 6 does not run well on N7 2012. But try it and see. The best for this tablet, I think is 4.4.3. Others will have other ideas.

So far Marshmallow is fine. OTA arrived with us yesterday. All seems fine so far, no factory reset needed.

Ok, all sorted. In Flashfire I needed to press and hold the wipe section and move it to first position. This way the wipe happens first then the ROM is flashed. Seems to work that way.

Supertool works great but I have tried flashing "Resurrection-Remix-LP-v5.5.9 Amazón Fire 2015 (Ford) (17-12-2015)" using FlashFire but each time it fails. Any help/suggestions welcome. My Fire 7 is on 5.1.1

I got mine in the Black Friday sale but this is a great price for a very good little tablet. It's not as fast as my Nexus 7 2013 but then it's a fraction of the cost. If you don't have one and you are reading this just get one.

Just used NRT to get 5.1.1 onto my old Nexus 7. I used the "Flash stock + unroot". Problem was that the Nexus was only showing 6.2gb of storage instead of 32gb. Did it all again but did fastboot erase and format first. No change ! Thought all was lost 'till I read this...

Nothing here yet, neither 5 nor 5.1 has shown up !

Hi Nexus 7 2014 on 4.4. Was rooted but back on stock and locked. No sign of OTA update as of 5th Dec 2014. Am I missing something ? Been on stock for a few months now. Anyone else with the same issue ?

My Nexus is in the official Nexus Case (Christmas pressie) and I only ever use the official charger. I have done a factory reset so will see what happens over the next few days.

Download the updates from Google. 4.4 to 4.4.1 and 4.4.1 to 4.4.2 then use the toolkit to sideload the updates, one at a time. Just google the updates, they use the build numbers rather than 4.4 etc. Works on locked/unlocked bootloaders. If you have a custom recovery installed then you can put...

Thanks, I deleted the app but no joy after a reboot so I removed the Google account, rebooted and reinstalled my calendar apps. Took a few minutes to re-sync but all seems fine now. Thanks again for the suggestions.

Hi, I have used the toolkit to unlock and root a couple of nexus 7 tablets annd all was fine. Today I needed to "unroot and restore to stock" but the script stopped at "sending bootloader (2100 kb)" and just hung. Had to close it down but tablet is bricked ! I have tried to re-run it a few times...

Or just use Nova Launcher from the play store !

Just read with care. All of the available roms are for the US 8gb version and will screw up the UK 32 gb version. If you just want root then page one on this section gives you all you need. Just make sure you use the correct UK files. :laugh::cool::cowboy:

Just updated to KitKat on my Nexus 7 2013 and rooted with TWRP. Many thanks Wug's toolkit made it so easy and no need to wait for the OTA. Great work "Wug"

My 32gb is 2013.08. All fine so far.

Download http://download.chainfire.eu/351/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.65.zip Use Wugs toolkit to flash to device. Worked for me.

Ok, idiot here ! Used the toolkit and all ok 'till I open Superuser and it says "super user binaries out of date". I have downloaded the update as above, but what do I do now ? As I said complete novice here !

Hi Just got my Nexus 7 32gb and am keen to get it rooted. Downloaded and installed the toolkit but when I run it all I get is a command box for a split second then nothing. Running windows 7 64 bit. Am I doing something wrong ? :(

Same problem with mine, just got it on Friday. UK 32gb on latest OTA. Long presses often fail to respond and touching an app to open can take a few tries. May send it back and wait a couple of months to see if it's a software or hardware issue then reorder. Google/Asus need to sort it quickly...

Just got my Nexus yesterday and Netflix is not working. Works on my ATV, phone etc just not on the Nexus. Tried re-install and clear data/cache but still all I get is the red Netflix screen and the circle. Need a fix !
