Figured it out. The crackle for me happens when I'm connected to a weak 2.4GHz WiFi access point. Connecting to a 5GHz WiFi or a strong 2.4GHz signal solves the problem completely It's co channel interference between WiFi and Bluetooth. Hopefully Xiaomi can make some improvements in updates...

Root is becoming more and more an annoyance. At the moment all I need root/xposed for is to bypass that ridiculous "screen overlay detected" BS warning. If only Google had just a system that it promoted the permissions screen above all overlays, but that would be too user friendly, of course...

I've already told you. Gravitybox can be used to make the three dots menu overflow appear, or you can do a build.prop tweak - google it, there will be a lot of guides. You can even hit thanks if I've helped you.

I had these at the same rate that you did, I posted a kmesg here but heard nothing back from Faux. It kept happening under all settings I tried. Running elemental X 3.6 now with no problems. Shame that Faux kernel didn't work out. Been using his stuff since my GNex.

I'm finding this too. Occasionally dt2w just doesn't work. Not sure if it's timeout settings or deep sleep. The implementation on Faux seemed to be a little more reliable. That's the only thing I can fault this kernel with :)
