    I was on QSAS30.62-33-2 and got ota for QSAS30.62-33-3. 30.62-24-6, is that a few monthe behind? Just asking because the August security patch for euro is 30.62-24-11 or 30.62-33-2, depending on country/carrier I guess. Not sure why they send out two different firmware versions in Europe.

    Yes. I've been rooted ever since the update. I got an XT1941-4 but root is the same. Either flash magisk patched boot through fastboot or boot twrp and flash magisk from there, but the last option would require you to format data first, which is why I prefer patched boot for rooting this device...

    Our old twrp have been great compared to nothing but it isn't exactly fully working and freezes a lot on splash screen. Thanks to Stricted and deadman96385 we now have a more functional twrp. Support for A/B slots. ADB working. No need to flash full firmware. Just flash the vbmeta_patch.img...

    It's true that you can't take OTA with modified phone. It needs to be full stock. This is how I've been updating my one vision every month, without wipe or loosing root. I can't see why it wouldn't work on one action as well. Unzip the update to your adb/fastboot folder. Transfer the boot.img...
