I'm sorry for the silence. At this moment I'm upgrading the base system to the common system used by other UBPorts devices, so it'll take some time. Although you should be able to install the current version from UBPorts and benefit from the parts all UBPorts devices have in common.

Ok, then you can try the command again, but, this time, remove "sudo" and "--bootstrap" from the command. If it still doesn't work, try re-plugging USB cable. Your already downloaded files will be cached and won't be downloaded again. This is because recovery detection doesn't always work.

The instruction says everything. The Ubuntu touch isn't flashed in the same way as Android roms. In the nutshell, you'll need an Ubuntu machine (or a virtual one) to follow the instruction. To come back to Android, first install Android-based recovery, then re-install your rom.

Ubuntu recovery is a good step. You shouldn't unplug your USB chord at that moment (as it's pushing files to the phone.) Your picture suggested that there's some problem in Fastboot protocol communication. Try changing your USB chord and USB port. There's no direct build of "device tarball", yet. What I do is putting all files in a directory in the correct structure, then tarring and xz'ing them.
