What it did for me on my galaxy s8, which im using right now, was it would allow me to have unlocked firmware but have the volte feature. Which is kinda important. But with this phone(note 8) it literally wont even do that. I am in unlocked firmware now but whenever I flash the userdata file...

I got a Verizon branded version. I flash over the unlocked firmware and it goes through. I then downloaded and used the userdata(inside the firmware file on the 2nd post) and flash that and then it goes back to Verizon. Anyone know why that would happen?

I bought the firmware for like $3/4. I can't remember which site but I'll check tomorrow. It had the userdata inside that zip file.

Looks like your not the only one. I've looked it up and seems to be an issue on the s8 with those features. There are multiple answers but the consensus is that you have to turn then off into a patch is released. Might be able too just factory reset but that doesn't seem to help many people.

What do you mean? So what your saying is whenever you call someone it won't initiate the phone call with Wi-Fi calling?

Correct, exactly the same. I have volte and even have the option to turn on Wi-Fi calling now. Which I didn't before.

Post now has been updated with the proper files for the csb2 update working with cricket wireless. on side note, wifi callingseems to not be working. you can turn it on in the settings but besides that it doesnt work. Volte is working still though.

Update with files and updated userdata for firmware CSB2 will be coming soon. I have confirmed everything works including wifi calling. At least for me.

I'm on the unlocked firmware and have no restriction. The hotspot is unlocked and no carrier block is on it. I use the hotspot all the time and it was a main reason I went with the unlocked firmware.

This is the version I'm using that wakes up on the lockscreen. I don't think it's modded though.

What software are you running right now? Under the settings it'll show. That error usually means your trying to downgrade with a rom which won't let you. Crb9 is pretty old and I think it's actually bootloader 2 instead of 3 of I remember right.

It would just be regular firmware from at&t. The same way if you wanna flash back to the unlocked firmware. No combination files are needed.

That's correct, I used a meet userdata file though to flash and I'm good. I still have volte working.

Is there a way to install the new updated camera with slow motion apk without updating the firmware? I tried installing the apk but it says app not installed.

I have the ravpower 26800mah usb-c version. Power banks work just fine with my s8. I've used multiple ones also.

Never, but I did notice that even without the userdata I have volte working after I flashed the firmware.

I'm just looking for the user data file for att. That way I can keep it on the unlocked firmware but have volte working. Wi-Fi calling would be nice though.

By chance have you seen the new firmware(bl5) with any userdata file? I'm trying to find an updated userdata for att from the bl5 firmware.

The att tethering won't work as it's provisioned for Verizon. I think they check in order to use the hotspot.

That I cannot tell you how to do as I have never downgraded before. There is another thread about csc change you might head to that one. They are a little more knowledgeable on those things then I am.

What I would do is get into the recover menu. Then factory reset. Then try flashing again. This time though instead of fishing the firmware, rebooting and then flashing userdata, try ding the userdata file and the firmware files all together at the same time. It shouldn't fail which is why I'm...

are you using the modded odin? not the prince version..but the other one? or are you using just the standard 3.13.1?

OP updated and mega link is in OP now, im now uploading to google drive cuz my internet was slow doing both. Will be updated asap once google drive is uploaded.

What I can say is use smart switch to backup your phone. Then just odin flash the userdata file inside the files I'm uploading.

Uploading the CRF5 files right now. Confirmed volte is still working after this update. It'll be ready in about 3-4 hours(mega link) & 2-3 hours(Google drive link)

I just saw the update myself. I'll work on getting this updated. I don't know about the not wiping. But I do know some people on another thread show how to get volte working without a wipe. I'll look into it and get back to you. I'm pretty sure you have the Home csc instead of the non home csc...

There is no cricket bloatware on this. The userdata is simply to get volte working. The only thing cricket that pops up is the splash screen when you turn the phone on.

You'll wanna use the AIO version for cricket. I made a thread for the cricket version in the guides section with everything you Need and working volte(no Wi-Fi calling though). It's at CRE2 firmware right now.
