Someone was trying but it kinda just died off because boom sound is way better for speakers and head phones. What did your kernel change in regards to audio? I was trying to figure out why the low level frequencies sound less bass'y thru my car vs just running zero's MOD + stock kernel or even RC4.

I am now a fan of atoms again... idk why but the high frequencies with out an EQ over Bluetooth was a little to brain rocking, add atoms and it definitely seems to prevent "clutter" when all frequencies wanna bang out at once and the custom settings. Anyone ever figure out how to close the app...

Did another clean flash (find it therapeutic lol) badboyz 3.1 with manually doing the 3.2 changes and this is what it booted up showing. For some reason mostafa's v2 thermal configuration isn't throttling like the v1. You using v1 or v2?

You would have to be more specific , Bluetooth sounded crisper when I installed atoms and configed it to my settings , boomsound is tits like always for 3.5mm jack and front speakers and the static or white noise I would randomly get wasn't apparent (didn't test much with Dolby atoms on 3.5 or...

Smash it an use uh oh protection? Lol didn't read far enough back to see you stated it was hardware. Might be able to change the thermal config to shut down the cores at low battery/CPU temps so it won't even turn them on.

Mostafa's thermal config does just that , it's based off the 10 config and turns off cores depending on battery temp. I found it to work better personally than choosing to shut off certain cores .

Is there away I can set I/O scheduler to row and read ahead to 1024 when flashing kernel? I use an app to change it but it doesn't stick with reboot. Bubba has one more year to go for next 199.99 upgrade price :crying: and feels all alone since everyone is rockin the HTC 10 lol

Sorry for O.T. but do you have any recommendations for cases? Working outside in 80+ degree weather and using GPS keeps the ol girl around 43+ c battery temp. Need the durability of otter box, but more heat friendly.

Yea , I was on the last prism and sense 7 then took the prism update 8.12 . It's no biggy... I'm more sad I won't be joining you guys on the HTC 10. I have one more year to go to get the $200 price on a new device from sprint. :crying:

Just switched it to never, I was just worried if I was going to fry the CPU because I don't know much about them. I even had it once lower the battery temp while continuously watching video from 42 to 41 which was cool to see. And it never went over 42.

It was when I was switch back between YouTube and the kernel app to see how it was working I saw it spike twice. Good to know. Thanks again for this, it truly makes the M9 a beast with a custom kernel.

Gave gaming beta a spin. Awesome awesome work guy :good: I didn't get a screen shot of it but I had the CPU temps spike up to 74C a few times when it was reduced to 3:2 3:0 2:2 Have you had that/is that normal?

Battery life is so much better now! I'm off the charger at 530am and still have 56 % 15hrs later (with minimal use; phone calls , texts , and web browsing). thicklizard , you ever mess around with disabling pnpmgr?

Root browser by jrummy in the play store is free and works with the way OMJ has v3.1 , when I changed it back to the way it's set up in v3.0 , I changed permissions of the folder and I had to delete file /data/.supersu before I flashed beta 2.65 from twrp...

I concur, especially when you can get a custom kernel such as yours to control the 810 ... maybe one day they will post it lol

When you type "root explorer" in Google Play the first two that pop up are explorer and root explorer (paid) by speed software. Maybe that's what he meant. What is your app of choice Mr. Schmeggy?

Ding ding ding! At a boy OMJ! It's working again. I went back into /data to see what changed and there is no longer a .supersu file (don't know if it supposed be there after flashing zip), only su.img file. Thanks again :highfive:

I got the prompt when I opened it, it even gave me the notification saying it was given root access... strange.

Ahhh I see! Thanks for clarifying that :) I changed it back to 755 , but it had no effect on that app... it worked with v3.0 , but I guess it's something else :confused:

The app I was using to switch the kernel from permissive to enabled prompted me with a window saying it couldn't gain root access (even though supersu showed it granted). I thought you just recently added that chmod 751 line with this recent update which changed it to system-less root?
