Hey mate, thanks for your suggestions. I have tried doing the factory reset (entering into recovery using power+vol up + home keys) and flashed the stock firmware (entering into download mode using power+vol down+home keys). Unfortunately, neither of those worked :(

Update 15 may 2012 HTC calls me and tells me that media link is compatible and when I ask them to help me fix it, they give up and request for more time to come up with a resolution. On a sidenote, they are yet to fix up their mistake on the website and worse, they have added a few more phones...
