I did the Geekbench test right after the Antutu one, so that might be why the score is a bit lower compared to previous tests. But, average is about right.

The October security patch finally hit my S9+, on the 26th. I was checking for updates every day... started to think Samsung will skip right to November :laugh: I wanted to test Samsung's claims about the front facing camera being improved, so I tested my S9+ against my girlfriend's yesterday...

I set video recording bitrate to 100 and tried to record 4k60. 10 minutes later I saw a bunch of 2:51 long video files. :joy: So at least that's out of the question. I won't try with 80 Mbps and 40 Mbps :silly: Thing is... If it turns out GCam doesn't limit 4k30 for example... Videos recorded...

I don't think it limits you. If that's the case, thumbs up for this and a middle finger to Samsung. I haven't tried to see what happens when you record in 4k and get past 10 minutes or in 4k60 past 5 minutes.

Even Dan said it... I think he would have mentioned it if he would have fixed it in 3.5.

The only gripe I have with the Samsung camera is the time it requires to take a shot when it's dark outside. Or not even dark, but a bit past 7 PM in July...

As far as I know, even the dual SIM models only have two physical slots... The only difference is that one of them acts not only like a microSD reader, but a SIM reader as well. There's no physical space for 2 SIMs and a microSD card...

Back camera doesn't work with these settings (Taimen). With Shamu configuration the pictures with Auto HDR+ or Enhanced are way darker than without HDR+ :confused: Like, in low light they're unusable unless you disable HDR+.

Thing is, I can't seem to be able to flash any ROM now. Used latest Acuicultor (which worked great prior to this screw up), tried official TWRP as well... I get ERROR 7, no matter what. I can only sideload OOS or OpenBeta (via stock recovery, of course). :( I did format userdata in fastboot...

I was using 3.2.1-0 or something like that. Latest by Acuicultor. I think downgrading from OB35 to 4.5.1 firmware messed things up... Talking about pain... I lost all my files, lol. :D Can't say I had anything of high importance there. But I also had Swift Backup backups, especially for Chrome...

I think downgrading firmware from Oreo 8.1 to Nougat broke things. Back to OOS now. Userdata, gone. I had apps backed up with Swift Backup, and nandroid made with TWRP. Stupid me - I didn't copy those to my PC first :) Oh well. Start fresh! Lol.

Indeed. Never had a random reboot. And the only crashes I had were due to Google Camera mod. Also, WhatsApp doesn't play nice at times, lags the phone to a halt when trying to share a photo via the in-app camera/gallery thingy. I think this happened maximum 5 times in 3+ months. This is just...

Make sure your Wi-Fi SSID isn't set to channel 13. And channel bandwidth is set to 20/40 MHz Auto. If it's a 5GHz one, Idk...

You don't have to encrypt it, it's encrypted by default. To decrypt, you must have a ROM/kernel that doesn't enforce encryption, then format userdata from TWRP (internal storage, that is). That way, it's not encrypted by default at first start.

You should decrypt when messing around and flashing stuff. This is why...
