Post [App]Galaxy Max Hz (Refresh Rate Control, Quick Resolution Switcher, Screen-Off Mods, Adaptive Mod, Keep High/Adaptive on Power Saving Mode and More)

It is. After toggling it on/off, it switches to 96hz. But when screen on/off it turns back to 120hz. Galaxy S21 base, btw.

Great job with adding the max hz on power saver. Unfortunately it doesn't work for me tho. It switches back to 120hz after screen on/off. Maybe because I'm on 120hz high?

Thanks for answering. Do you unlock your phone frequently or do you let your phone rest for hours sometimes? I think why I see worse results is because I unlock my phone quite often. So the doze gets activated/deactivated all the time..

What's your experience with quick doze and power-saving when screen off? I can't really see any benefits to battery.. Quite the opposite really. I feel like it's draining more battery when activated.

I think you're the only person who has this problem with VoLTE. Never heard anyone complaining about this. Tried disabling it one day, but didn't experience any better battery life.

Post Issues with the battery life :(

Let us know if it helps. What I've noticed the most after a couple of months use. The 4G/5G modem on this phone drains a lot of battery. Things have gotten better, but phone is hotter and battery zips fast when on mobile data. Worse than my previous phones.

I've also noticed a bug. Once you turn on overlay in status bar, then turn off again, it still appears. In other words, it's not possible to turn it off after activated it once.

Post [App]Galaxy Max Hz (Refresh Rate Control, Quick Resolution Switcher, Screen-Off Mods, Adaptive Mod, Keep High/Adaptive on Power Saving Mode and More)

I use it mainly for having 120hz in power saving mode. It saves battery without the sacrifice of smoothness. I also force 120hz so the small lags when phone is switching from 120->60hz is gone. About the power saver when screen off, as well as improved doze, I felt that those features drained...

Great work dude. Thanks a lot. Any plans to implement the 96HZ option when power saving on? Would be a great addition. Thanks.

Post Issues with the battery life :(

I'm running the force 48hz when screen off and forced high refresh rate to 120hz. Power saver activated at work. Sync only when charging.

Post Issues with the battery life :(

Ah okay.. So you have all toggles in the app active, I see.. For my usage, the battery almost got worse with those toggles active. I guess its good if you don't unlock your phone that often, but if you keep interrupting power saving and doze all the time, it drains more battery.
  12. J

Post Issues with the battery life :(

Didn't quite understand what you said there. What gave you best battery life? "Power saver when screen off" activated or not?
  13. J

Post Issues with the battery life :(

What toggles do you have active? I felt the power saver when screen off really draw more power than save power. Probably because I unlock my phone really often.

I noticed no difference whatsoever with VoLTE on/off. I have it on all the time. This is what I got today. 50/50 WiFi and mobile data.

Hmm.. I haven't noticed much, but I just factory reset my phone, and installed the app right away. Maybe I'll try a day or two without it to check.

Post [App]Galaxy Max Hz (Refresh Rate Control, Quick Resolution Switcher, Screen-Off Mods, Adaptive Mod, Keep High/Adaptive on Power Saving Mode and More)

No, I don't experience battery drain. Are you using the lowest 48hz in adaptive where there app needs permission to display over other apps? I haven't enabled that cause I've heard it drains battery, at least in other apps. On the picture you're on wifi and 4G on the other one. Could be why...

Post [App]Galaxy Max Hz (Refresh Rate Control, Quick Resolution Switcher, Screen-Off Mods, Adaptive Mod, Keep High/Adaptive on Power Saving Mode and More)

First of all, thank you so much for this module! It works great on my S21 I have a question and one suggestion; 1) Adaptive RR with 48hz requires the app to display over other apps. I know that apps that display over other apps usually use a lot of battery (often warned about this when you...

Does the deep sleep when screen off save much battery? I've used naptime and such before, but I felt that it used more battery than not using it.

I'm not rooted or using ROMs. Just flashed the OTA that I got. I don't think there's any point in flashing or rooting on a Samsung. You trip Samsung knox and won't be able to use samsung pay etc.

Post Issues with the battery life :(

I think this is normal, unfortunately. Same as I get. People are shockingly accepting this battery life. Hopefully it will improve a bit after updates. When I got the phone, I was consistently getting over 6 hours SOT, so something happened through updates. It got worse, for sure..

Post Issues with the battery life :(

True. Could be the SD888 and Exynos 2100 this year that's just poor an overheats. Or could Samsung that haven't optimized stuff enough.

Post Issues with the battery life :(

    I've got the base S21
  25. J

Post Issues with the battery life :(

I agree.. This is more or less the same as what I get. Bet I could get 6 hours SOT with that kind of usage as well.

Post Issues with the battery life :(

Ah I see.. Totalt understand that. I've also considered iPhone. I've heard the battery life on the 12 mini is really bad though, so kinda shocked you're saying it's better than the S21. I really hope Samsung can improve this in updates..

Post Issues with the battery life :(

Debloating is fine enough.. But switching to 60hz and turning off AOD to get proper battery life is just stupid. I'd rather buy a midrange phone then..

Post Issues with the battery life :(

Have people given up on this issue? I'm still not getting more than 4 hours SOT over 24 hours with 50/50 LTE and Wi-Fi. Are you pleased with the S21 (Exynos) battery life?

    Post Question Cameraservice_worker partial wakelock

Okay.. So I downloaded BBS to check. Granted permissions via ADB. I'm on the base S21 Exynos. I can't see any cameraservice_worker wakelock, even if I move the device etc. What I see tho, is a "ImsService" wakelock.

    Post Question Cameraservice_worker partial wakelock

Let's hope this issue gets resolved real soon. I'm moving a lot around in my work, and I've noticed a big issue with battery life. At home in the weekends it's a lot better. It's kind of annoying how people at reddit don't really recognize this issue. I bet it's because most people are sitting...

To all people with base S21 Exynos: Do you experience excessive battery drain on mobile data? I've tried troubleshooting this for weeks. Some are saying they get awesome battery life, others says it's garbage. Ive tried factory reset. Tweaking settings etc, but no matter what, when not...
