Eitherway something went wrong and you should re-download the zips or something. Gapps are generic so there is no device check so what your saying happened shouldnt be possible...

    Rebooting after the samsung logo to me sounds like you may have mixed the os2sd and regular builds in some way. It sounds like its not finding android in the partition it thinks is /system and basicaly you are getting the phones version of the pc "insert bootable disk and hit any key to reboot"...
