Thats not true. Here are lots of official LOS ROMs. Some years ago LOS for our S7 had an official ROM with its thread here on XDA.

But isn't that only for Italy? Short summary: From this January 1, 2021, all smartphones equipped with fm radio that have been sold so far in Italy will have to turn off the service in order to comply with the official Law, when they don't comply with the new requirements (Fm radios must also...

I never had any trouble. Just flashing magisk zip after ROM and gapps. Once running with root privileges the magisk app itself can update the binaries from OS without reboot.

Post [STABLE] LineageOS 17.1 for Galaxy S7 build 24

The updater works only for "official" ROMs listed here: download.lineageos.org. There is no need for factory reset or full wipe for updates between one version (here: LOS17.1). But follow ivans instructions if your last version was prior Jan. Update: 0. Backup with TWRP just in case 1. Install...

Post Android Recovery: Issues flashing via ADB or external SD card

Thanks! I have finally made it. It took my the third day (thanks to covid home office) but I'm now up again with new LOS (but old TWRP). For the record: My last try was using an older and modified version of Odin (3.13 here) and flashing the newest stock image with extracted PIT file. After 3...

That didn't work gegardless how often I'll try it... At this point it just stops with a red FAIL in Odin. Trying with PIT file actually flashes for at, than stucks and fails. You're right, seams thats not a LOS issue. Moved it here. EDIT: I have finally made it! Thanks to everyone helped me!

Hey, following happend: I dirty flashed LOS 17.1 february update over december version following the instructions ivan gave. After flashing gapps and magisk I flashed the newest TWRP image. That didn't work. Again aborted with FRP lock message. But somehow I got it to boot to Android Recovery!! The last thing I did, was flashing BL, AP, CL and Home_CSC with my extracted PIT (from CSC file) and ticking DeviceInfo. After two sec the phone rebooted to recovery. Now I'm able to boot to...

Not sure when I did that the last time, but not since I switched to LOS17 last summer. Since than I updated every two or three months, like I always do. And since no one else has this problem, I'm sure I did something wrong. This really annoys me.

Hi, I need some advice. I removed fingerprints and deleated locketings.db and did a dirty flash from november to feb version + gapps nano + magisk 21.4 and did TWRP update from 3.4 to 3.5. Maybe because none of you posting any useful information, so that Ivan or anyone can confirm that. I'm on LOS17 since July last year and have only the echo issue and some missing (??) options. No repeatable reboots (around three at all), no brightness issues after calls or any time, no LED...

It passes for me. So I assume its something in your configuration. Activate magisk hide? It's been asked multiple times here. There is no solution so far. Same here. There should be a privacy option in the specific wifi settings but unfortunately its missing.

Post [STABLE] LineageOS 17.1 for Galaxy S7 build 24

Maybe because its Ivans opinion, that someone who wants to flash a custom rom, can at least do some minimal research. For your info: It's the same way for the S7 as for most of the other Samsung phones (and others). Just 3 weeks ago I postet my steps in this post. In generall you're right that...

Post [ROM][OFFICIAL][WEEKLY] LineageOS-15.1 for Google Nexus 4 (mako)

You can't install it "on original ROM". You are replacing the original " stock ROM with this custom ROM. Here the general steps: 1. Install TWRP 2. Make a backup (in TWRP) (Keep in mind that everything in your storagefolder is excluded. eg your pictures. So backup them ) 3. Wipe everything (in...

Post [STABLE] LineageOS 17.1 for Galaxy S7 build 24

No, at least I didn't and it works fine on my device. No, root is not nesassary. BTW supersu is deprecated. That's why magisk is recommended. This ist what I had done coming from LOS14.1: 0. Make backup 1.1. Flash new stock, with modem and co in Odin 1.2. Boot just to check it everything is ok...

Are you on the newest TWRP version? This causes problem sometimes. Did you come from stock? Maybe you could try first flashing stock image with newest modem and bootloader, than go back to LOS 17.1. (TWRP needed again)

I didn't test it, but I doubt it. This is not an official certified ROM, like those manufacturer put on the phones. This isn't even LineageOS "official" (see here: https://download.lineageos.org/). There are rumors that you can try to certify yourself, but this didn't work for me on LOS 14.1...

Sorry for the late response. I'm not sure, but as I understood there are some "rules" for official builds. That means more work for the Dev. I just found this on the official site: But I know that there are more requirements. Like active maintaince and no external code and thinks like that...
