Post [OFFICIAL] LineageOS 17.1 for z3c

Just a note on the LineageOS for MicroG build variant that I want to share here: AFAIK, MicroG Core versions 0.2.16 and 0.2.17 are having a bug related to Google / Firebase Cloud Messaging (GCM/FCM) which prevents Apps from initially registering for Cloud Messaging. So, if you install this ROM...

Post [OFFICIAL] LineageOS 17.1 for z3c

Thank you! Fortunately, in contrast to Version 2, where I had to fully re-implement some parts of the power management, this fix now only requires 3 lines of source code change in total (y)

Post [OFFICIAL] LineageOS 17.1 for z3c

GOOD NEWS EVERYBODY!!! I managed to finally fix the persistent "BTLowPower" wakelock which caused the CPU to no longer enter Deep Sleep state and thus resulted in high battery drain once Bluetooth had been enabled! 🍻 UPDATE: I just found a much simpler solution that does the trick! The real...

Post [OFFICIAL] LineageOS 17.1 for z3c

@NeoArian could you please point me to the correct toolchain and kernel sources of this fw to allow me to test modifications of the BT driver? I'm currently using the kernel sources from branch lineage-17.1 of this Repo and this cross-build toolchain, manually down-dated to a pre-clang state...

Post [OFFICIAL] LineageOS 17.1 for z3c

I just learned something new: the problem does not occur, when BT is switched off right from system startup! The wakelock ("BTLowPower") then only occurs when BT becomes switched on (this may be ok, I don't know), but when BT is then switched off again, the wakelock persists! For me, that seems...

Is there any news about that? I have the same problem. No deep sleep with this ROM and this is a no-go for me.

That's interesting. I'm using Simple Gallery Pro now as an alternative and that is working fine.

Post [ROM][Unofficial][10.0][signed][OTA] Lineage OS 17.1 for Xperia Z1 compact

It may be a stupid question, but why is it not possible? Shouldn't microG core be updateable like any other system app? Is there a way to allow updating by F-Droid?

Post [ROM][Unofficial][10.0][signed][OTA] Lineage OS 17.1 for Xperia Z1 compact

Ok, it's a bug in the Gallery App itself. So let's hope that it's already fixed upstream and the fix will be contained in your next build

Btw., am I right that microG core in this build cannot be updated by F-Droid? If so, will you do another build with an updated microG core 0.2.16?

Post [ROM][Unofficial][10.0][signed][OTA] Lineage OS 17.1 for Xperia Z1 compact

Just installed it and it feels gorgeous! Thank you!!! One question: Is it possible to get the camera button working again like it worked in the Stock ROM? i.e. directly open the Camera app meanwhile the device is locked. I do also have another problem: it seems that photos taken by the Camera...

Post Very simple "1%" One Percent Battery Hack!

The hack I present here e.g. fixes bad accuracy of the battery level display in " menu > settings > about phone > status " and also increases resolution of the stock battery usage graph. In general, it forces ALL Apps to use the 1% accuracy reading by very simple means. Please note that this...

Post Very simple "1%" One Percent Battery Hack!

Can someone please move it to Android Development, because it solves threads like http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=950888 ? (I can't because I'm a newbie here).

Thread Very simple "1%" One Percent Battery Hack!

Hi Folks, I'm not sure whether this is the right place, but I just wanted to share this information: There is a very simple way of forcing all Apks of a rooted Defy with init.d support to read battery stats with 1% accuracy. Just add this script in /system/etc/init.d/ and name it something like...
