Post AAWireless - General discussion and support

I did it, and it didn't work: connected via hub, locked the car, came back after 5+ minutes when the device was powered off. Turned it on. Nothing as usual. I went back home. When I was home, while connected to AA wireless, I tried to connect to my home wifi and suddenly it connected to AA...

So far I heard of European Nissan Qashqai. I think the Rogue is the American version of it. As you describe, no matter what I do I get no laucher on the head unit. However, @mc01319 got it to work using a USB hub and MTP with retry. Check it out...

Hey! Good to hear you managed to find a way. I just tried with two usb hubs I have at home but it didn't work for me ☹️ BTW, what's the software version of you head unit?

Post AAWireless - General discussion and support

Yes, this is normal for me too. It's hard to change the pass-through setting to off. In other mode, the device does not "bootloop" anymore. I did tried with 3 cables, 2 phones. Tried about 100 times. Only managed to connect to the head unit 3 times (once in passthough mode, twice on MTP mode)...

of course I did that. I'm "glad" that someone with the same head unit is experiencing the same issues.

Post AAWireless - General discussion and support

No. It only connected 3 times after trying out a lot of times (+100 attempts). I used two phones, 3 cables, all combinations of the connection mode, factory reset of the dongle. I cannot really reproduce the steps that got the connection working those 3 times it worked. When it worked, I tried...

Tried other with cables? Do you get a blinking blue light on the dongle? Have you tried switching the USB mode and enable pass-through? I get the same: apparently this means that the dongle cannot connect with the car's headunit.

Post AAWireless - General discussion and support

can you explain exactly the steps you took? (I cannot get that from your description ☹) I have a Pixel 4 / Nissan Qashqai and tried several cables with the combinations of USB mode and Pass-though (MTP, off), (Direct, off), (Direct, on). I didn't do the combination (MTP, on) though because...

Same experience here (Pixel 4 / Nissan Qashqai). I was asked to try with various cables to rule out a problem with the cable (cables are b*tch sometimes). I'm in contact with support. I'm hoping I can send some logs or something to have them look at the issue more closely. I also get the dongle...

Yep. Once you enter recovery you need to make the menu appear. For that press vol+ and power and release one of the keys at a time (never remember the correct order). Do not keep power pressed for long or you will power off the device.

You should revert any changes you made to /system partition. You can try unrooting and retry the OTA but I think that unrooting does not revert any changes made to /system... Edit: even better, try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=60599911#post60599911

    Post [TUTORIAL][Radio] Enable NEXUS6 XT1103 4G LTE B1/B8/B9/B19 and also XT1100 B2/B4

Argentine operators are deploying LTE on band 4 (not band 2) in urban areas. Their plan is to get LTE on band 17 for rural areas in the coming years. Eventually they will reuse bands 2 and 5 for LTE which are now used for GSM/WCDMA. It's good news that you could enable band 4 on your XT1100!

Post [RUU] Google Edition Conversion. 5.0.1 RUU Zip pre-rooted/non-rooted + firmware

I was not rooted when I applied the lollipop OTA. I was rooted earlier (when I was on 4.4.3), applying the OTA to 4.4.4 I lost root. So I guess that applying the OTA on a 4.4.4 rooted give you a 5.0.1 without root.
  45. J

Post [RUU] Google Edition Conversion. 5.0.1 RUU Zip pre-rooted/non-rooted + firmware

I can confirm that the OTA updater 4.4.4 --> 5.0.1 does not check the system image as it's done on a Nexus 9. It still uses the file-by-file check in /system. This means that you may be root and still apply the OTA (provided you have stock recovery).
