Post [AOSP 11.0] [2020-11-27] LeOS - ungoogled GSI

Hello Harvey, again :giggle: I Just joined telegram group but I'm unable to message. Not sure what I can do. I have a simple question, if you don't mind. I just found a new GSI release from today, the mini one, but it's a lot bigger that the full. As I don't need all the stuff included in the...

Post [AOSP 11.0] [2020-11-27] LeOS - ungoogled GSI

I didn't find a working twrp to the last stock rom. I think I'll try with this one if you say it should be ok. Thanks again 🙏

Post [AOSP 11.0] [2020-11-27] LeOS - ungoogled GSI

Harvey, sorry to bother you again. I want to install LeOS during this weekend, but I have a doubt: If your GSI is based in PHHusson AOSP GSI which is based on Android 11, and my device is with Android 9, may I flash it in the regular way using TWRP? Thanks

Post [AOSP 11.0] [2020-11-27] LeOS - ungoogled GSI

Hello Harvey, I'm using /e/ gsi built by Phil more than a year ago, and by following your recommendation I didn't upgrade to your own /e/ version, some 2 months newer than the version I'm using. But it's a little old now, so I'd like to move to LeOS. The one I have installed is named...

Post [Pie][2020/04/15] /e/ unofficial rom GSI

Thank you so much :highfive: My previous installation is not original, as I replaced some "native" apps, like the launcher, keyboard, calendar,... Browser, Message and Weather are disabled, and OpenKeyChain is unistalled. Is it ok to just install this version over the previous one or do I need...

Post [Pie][2020/04/15] /e/ unofficial rom GSI

Nice. I hope you can make it for A64-AB. :fingers-crossed: This is by far the best GSI for Redmi-7A :good:

Post [GSI][10] LineageOS 17.x GSI (all archs)

Well, after reading that someone's phone refused to boot after uninstalling or disabling included apps in the dedicated rom I decided to try this one. So far so good. :good:

Post [GSI][10] LineageOS 17.x GSI (all archs)

Hi, Just a simple question. I want to try Lineage again but I'm unsure on which rom to chose. I have a Redmi 7A and there is a dedicated Lineage 17.1 rom here. Should I pick that one (dedicated, not GSI) or this one (GSI)? Thanks for any input.
  14. J

Post [Pie][2020/04/15] /e/ unofficial rom GSI

It's a pity this was abandoned as it's the best GSI I could get to my Redmi-7A, after a few tweaks :good: The first post doesn't have the link to A64-AB, so you must select it from https://ovh.phie.ovh/e/ :silly:

    Post [AOSP 10.0] [2019-12-06] Quack Phh-Treble

Updating magisk through manager broke my phone. I could't find the "uninstall" option in the new interface so I tried magisk_uninstaller.zip within TWRP but it did not work. From then on the phone always booted to twrp. I had to flash stock rom to make it work again :( I'm now planing my next...

Post [GSI][10] LineageOS 17.x GSI (all archs)

Post [GSI][10] LineageOS 17.x GSI (all archs)

AndyYan, Thank you very much for this ROM. Just replaced /e/ with it in a Redmi7A with no problems and everything is working. I just miss the simple (flat) wallpapers that came with /e/ I only changed the launcher to Evie (I'm used to it), the browser to lightning, and installed latest...

I used twrp to install the zip that YaAlex provided in post #237, and no, gapps is not included. From google I think there's only Play Store

    Post Custom GSI firmware [Global/EU]

Google login is solved, thanks. And I have now about 11Gb after wiping a few things from within twrp. I'll try to wipe a few more things after sleeping a bit :victory:

    Post Custom GSI firmware [Global/EU]

I'm giving GSI another chance so I installed V119system-arm32_binder64-ab-ufOfficial-nosu again. Apart from the usual google login problems that I will try to solve later, I have now only 4Gb in the internal storage. How can I reclaim my 16Gb back? Thanks

Post [GSI][9][Reference] LineageOS 16.0 GSI (all archs) and how to build them

Pattern doesn't work. If I set it I can't login to Lineage any more. it always says "wrong pattern" or something like that. The solution is to delete /data/system/locksettings.db within TWRP, as btvbtv said before and... do not use screen security  Is this a known issue or it's only on...
  23. J

    Post Custom GSI firmware [Global/EU]

Yes, it happened to me too with a pattern and after posting in Lineage thread someone suggested to delete /data/system/locksettings.db but I only read it after reinstalling. Now I don't use any lock. I don't need it anyway.

    Post Custom GSI firmware [Global/EU]

Everything is working. I installed GMaps and GBoard from APKPure and they are working fine. A few more apps like Cx Explorer and Neffos meteo and that's it. The original launcher is good enough, but I installed Evie Launcher just because I like it. No accounts created with google or whoever...

Post [GSI][9][Reference] LineageOS 16.0 GSI (all archs) and how to build them

Installation with no problems (a64_bvN). Everything seems to work as expected, except... I defined a pattern to protect the screen and now I can't get in. I always use the same pattern, the easiest possible, and I'm sure it was well defined (and confirmed). I hope there's some easy...

    Post Custom GSI firmware [Global/EU]

I just found where "naming confusion" comes from. If the rom is based on phhusson/treble_experimentations the naming convention is as writen here Examples: a64_bvN means arm32_binder64-ab-vanilla-nosu a64_bgS means arm32_binder64-ab-gapps-su So, I think Lineage 16 worth a try:cool:
  30. J

    Post Custom GSI firmware [Global/EU]

Yes, I understand that, but it's only the way devs names them, not a naming convention, I believe. The Descendant link ARM BINDER64 AB points to a file named Descendant_4.0.1_a64_ab.zip that's what is confusing. That would be nice, maybe in a new thread :good: Being able to flash a google clean...

    Post Custom GSI firmware [Global/EU]

That one is named Descendant_4.0.1_a64_ab.zip but by following OP steps it always reboots to TWRP . The trick is to flash it again from TWRP?
  32. J

    Post Custom GSI firmware [Global/EU]

Did you manage to install Descendant? If so what rom did you downloaded, Descendant_4.0.1_a64_ab.zip or Descendant_4.0.1_arm64_ab.zip ?

    Post Custom GSI firmware [Global/EU]

I looked for these ROMs but couldn't find most of them (explicitly arm32-AB-Binder 64). Links would be nice. :) I'm tempted to try /e/ as I understand it's basically LineageOS with microG, right? Thanks

Post Which Rom do you use, and why did you choose it?[/U][/B]

I use the same rom. It's fastest than miui, but not that different regarding battery, I think, unless I'm doing something wrong. MicroG is a must, but not prodution ready yet. I'm using Aurora store to be able to install things from google store, and used it to install Gapps browser (to access...
