Thank you for this detailed explanation! Any way to help you there? Also, how is the initial setup wizard able to set the default for SMS, calls and Data? It would be awesome to set at least calls and SMS.

Thread [Investigation] Android Security - possibility to (re)lock bootloader / harden phone

Hello girls and guys, I am looking for a method to safely sign my own custom ROM the same way the "stock" system/recovery gets signed, so that I still have the feature to relock the bootloader after installing a recovery that only accepts zips signed with my private key. What I have found so...

Post Eu model first boot "checking connection"

I had this problem, skipped that step, updated to 2.0.2 and did a factory reset. It was virgin again and ran flawlessly without this error. So this was a 2.0.1 bug.

Post OPT came with Oxygen OS 2.0.3 preinstalled

You would need to unlock the bootloader, but not more. If you boot the recovery only, it will not get installed. You can then lock it again afterwards.

Post OPT came with Oxygen OS 2.0.3 preinstalled

You don't even need to flash anything. Just boot twrp via fastboot and back up the system. I think there are several people here who'd like to try.

This could really be due to a driver problem. They may use different fingerprint readers on several devices. Have you contacted the Oneplus support yet?

I have the issue that after a full wipe from CM11, installed via the latest TWRP, after setting up my google account, the setup assistant FC's and throws me back to language selection, so I am not able to exit the setup assistant. Uhm, that sounds like the problem I have, the description fits exactly! But I'm still on CM11 but with Gustavo's kernel. Lanchon provided a fix for the write Problem some time ago, but since then it's happening. It happened on Lanchons Kernel as well as on Gustavos, all on CM11 (Official or...

    Post [ROM][NOOKHD/HD+][EMMC] UNOFFICIAL CM12.0 NookHD/HD+ (LP 5.0.x) [2015-02-17]

It happens to me a lot when any overlays are enabled such as Facebook Messenger Heads oder even the Downloads overlay. Is this really a hardware issue? I just can't velieve it, because on older builds of CM10.1 it was all ok, but then suddently it was there and still is.

You could also try to use the terminal to log to a file. $: su #: logcat -f /sdcard/logcat.txt same for kernel logs $: su #: cat /proc/kmsg | /sdcard/kmsg.txt if last_kmsg doesn't show useful stuff.

Have you set any app-ops restrictions or popup notifications? Had issues with this on M9 on my i9100, on my ovation everything works fine. Also, try to avoid overlays like FB chatheads and the download manager, they also tend to let my ovation reboot. OTG-enabling app is also there...

Post Turn Raspberry Pi into a FM Transmitter - Hack radio requencies

Had too much to do, but it should be pretty easy. With an HF amplifier you'd get even more power out of the RasPi. Tested to convert a stream via ffmpeg already, works great :D

HID drivers should work on CM10.2.1 the same as in CM11, so it "should" pair without any problem on AOSP/CM.

    Post [Q] Should I root HD+?

...blah blah try 10.2 first blah blah blah... Sorry, but CM11 seems not to be that "problem free" atm to recommend it. Try the last CM10.2 Stable, I'm running it for two months now after downgrading from CM11.

What ROM were you using? Are you booting from SD? It seems that your emmc is bricked, unfortunately this seems not to be recoverable... If you have adb access, try those commands mentioned here: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/EMMC_Bugs#How_do_I_check_my_device.27s_eMMC_details.3F

You should use helium to backup your appdata, don't restore data of system app's as it can lead to problems. You don't have to use an older recovery, you just have to remove the following line from the updater-script within the package: assert(getprop("ro.product.device") == "ovation" ||...
