Post [GUIDE] HERE maps offline. WORKS!

Thanks for testing this out! I think DPI can be modified in the APK. I know there is an XPosed module to change DPI for individual apps but I don't know if XPosed runs on Wear. Watch navigation without needing a phone is awesome! Sent from my HTC Sensation using XDA Free mobile app

Thread Possible to use for phone-free navigation?

Considering the SW3 has built-in GPS, would it be possible to sideload an offline navigation app like TomTom? The 4 gigs of memory would be enough for the map data. Has anyone tried this? I don't know much about Wear so please forgive me if this is a stupid question.

Post [ROM/GUIDE] 4.4.2 [LG Stock Rom] [Custom Recovery - Kernels - Root]

Thanks for confirming this. I did a full wipe before I flashed this. The only mistake I made was flashing the AOSP QuickRemote, but I don't see how that would cause this issue. I guess I'll try another full wipe + flash. If that doesn't work I'll just go back to stock 4.2.2. Since T-Mobile...

Post [ROM/GUIDE] 4.4.2 [LG Stock Rom] [Custom Recovery - Kernels - Root]

Anyone had reboot issues with this? I am getting resets once or twice a week where my phone freezes for several seconds then reboots. When it comes back, it says Gapps has stopped. I have also noticed that as soon as it starts back up, there is always a notification that one of my apps has an...

Post What's the size of the data partition?

The "SD card" is emulated. It's stored on the data partition and expands as necessary. If you only need extra space for infrequent circumstances like road trips or flights, you can always get a Meenova.

    Post [ ROM ]~[ KK ]~[ FINAL ] bareBones ~ stable ~ minimal ~ epic battery (d80x, vs/ls)

Stability has been good for me on D801 (T-Mobile). No reboots and only an occasional 30-second freeze, maybe once every few days.

    Post [ ROM ]~[ KK ]~[ FINAL ] bareBones ~ stable ~ minimal ~ epic battery (d80x, vs/ls)

Yeah that irks me especially since I have Tasker set up to silence notifications at night, which also silenced my ringer! I'm using this Xposed module to fix it.

Post [Q] Is there a way to force CDMA (3G) instead of 4G LTE?

Has anyone tried just taking out the SIM card? I believe the SIM card is only used for LTE on the Verizon network. Sent from my LG-D801 using Tapatalk

    Post Control 4G/3G/2G by app?

That's correct. Also, 4G doesn't really shut off. You will still be on LTE or HSPA+ when available, but the speed will be limited. The system doesn't actually kick you off 3G/4G it just reduces your speed. Sent from my LG-D801 using Tapatalk

    Post Control 4G/3G/2G by app?

All data usage counts against your quota, even 2G. Your phone is not going to use more data simply being on LTE. The proper way to manage data usage is to disable auto-sync and turn off mobile data entirely as much as possible.

Post [Q] Google wallet Tap and Pay Tmobile 4.2 and 4.4

Since no one has the official T-Mobile update yet (if it even exists at this point), it can't be 100% confirmed. However, one of the major features of 4.4 is that it allows for NFC payments regardless of carrier. So it should work once we get the OTA.

Post Is this Phone worth rooting?

I don't anticipate rooting any time soon. I don't need Titanium Backup because I don't need to flash any ROMs. This phone is fast enough for me and will be even faster once Kit Kat drops. I have disabled all the bloatware that I can and whatever's left doesn't bother me any. Battery life is...

Post HTC Sensation to LG G2: My Experience

Well I may have misremembered the 9 hours slightly. The best I could find was 8:45 on Reddit here. I still haven't seen mine go below 60% no matter what I do. It's truly liberating not having to worry about power management at all. Sent from my LG-D801 using Tapatalk

Post LG G2 is more awesome with 320dpi

Just got my G2 this week and I am waiting a while before I root it. Once I do, changing the DPI is going to be the very first change I make. It is such a shame to see the beautiful screen go to waste. I wish every app scaled the same way Draw Something does!

Thread HTC Sensation to LG G2: My Experience

There don't seem to be many people making this switch, so I figured I would post my experiences to help anyone who is considering the G2. Post T-Mobile new sale price for the G2

Ah well. It was still only for postpaid. I actually bought my G2 yesterday from Wirefly. I may have paid $200 more for the phone, but I'll be saving $600 in service rates over the next two years. I figure I'm coming out ahead.

Post Has anyone heard of this battery case? Alibaba extended battery case

It does appear to be pretty thick in the back—it's hard to tell because there's no angled view. The minimum order is 50 units, so we'll have to wait for a reseller to pick these up before we can order one. If they turn out to be even half-way decent quality, provide at least 1500mAh (no way it...

Post Power Jacket 3200mAh for LG G2

It's unfortunate it doesn't offer more support and protection to the phone. It looks like the only thing holding the phone in is the USB connector. I wouldn't feel comfortable using it outdoors. Also, I never believe any capacity claim that isn't from a reputable vendor. I would guess this case...

Post Only getting about 4-5 hours of Screen-on time? This might help!

What did you think? Minimal data use and screen brightness are the major battery tips going back several years. Why should I leave data on when I'm not even using my phone? It's just a waste of battery. Oh no, it might be a couple of hours before I find out Grandma tagged me in another Facebook...

    Post HTC One, G2 or Z1 ?

The G2 beats or matches the Z1 in almost every way, except SD slot and waterproofing of course. HTC One is slower than the G2. The One is thinner and the camera might be better (really it's just individual taste) but the battery is complete crap compared to G2.

Post Differences between Z1 and Z1s?

I swear it's a Shakespeare play in here. The Z1S is not intended to be an upgrade to the Z1. It's a VARIANT. That means changes. Changes that some people will like, and others won't. Nobody, anywhere, expects Z1 owners to swap for a Z1S. That's why it's called the Z1S, and not the Z2.
  31. D

Post Tmobile and AT&T US users which device is your choice?

The Z1S is a little bit cheaper and T-Mobile will actually give a hoot if you have issues with it. Unlocking/logo is not an issue—either we're set with T-Mobile or we know how to get it unlocked. Plastic sides are more comfortable and let's be real—most people are using a case anyway, so what's...

Post [DEVs Only]HTC Sensation emmc partition layout

I think anyone with the skills to repartition the Senny (if it's even possible) will realize that ART is not worth it. For some reason people on here think ART will make their phone a trillion times faster... fact is, it will be barely noticeable if at all. Hardly worth the effort.

    Post [ROM][4.4.4][Stable] CyanogenMod 11 with CAF 3.0.31 kernel [February 18, 2015]

1- Honestly I wouldn't hold my breath. All props to android1-7 but in my opinion, unless SebastianFM decides to fix it, it will never work. Jonny, I don't blame you. It's been covered on XDA ad infinitum, so I'll just say I agree with your stance. My first response was to figure out how to do things myself, but it's not worth the investment as I'll be upgrading to a new device in a few months. Thank you for all your work on these...

Post Extended battery case for the Sensation
