Post [Release] JOdin3 CASUAL Cross Platform and Web-Based Flashing For Samsung Phones

It's a big shame that there is no flash tool for non-windows systems and that samsung didn't simply use the common fastboot mechanism. Using Wine will likely not work as Odin does not detect any USB device in that environment.

It is default behavior. If something is wrong with encryption the system will reboot into recovery and tell it to format data. This is what I did to prevent it: https://git.halogenos.org/halogenOS/android_system_core/commit/12ecf045b669722ab400ba30af784cadb6f863e1...

    Post [ROM][AOSP][18/08] halogenOS 8.1 for OnePlus 5

I'll take a closer look. If there really is an issue, I'll release a new build as soon as it is fixed. Edit: GPS works fine, just might take a bit to get fix. If you're in a car it can take up to 1 minute. The longer you use it the better it gets. If I find a way to improve it, I will.

I don't know what your plan is on bluestacks but no you can't use that vendor partition on it first because 7.1 is not treble and second the vendor partition is device-specific. Yes, you can take the data from vendor build.prop and put it in system build.prop because the properties all get...

Post Galaxy Note9 System App,font,Framework Dump file (N960N)

Since Android 8.0, Google has implemented Treble which allows for easier Android system upgrades by separating the system and vendor parts. So on systems that are trebleized, there is a /system/build.prop which contain generic properties and /vendor/build.prop which contains device-specific...

Well, FBE is what new devices are shipping with while FDE is the way it was handled previously. FBE is good as long as it works but as we have seen it is very sensitive to sudden OS changes and has caused alot of trouble.

Post [MODIFIED][RECOVERY] TWRP 3.2.1 for OnePlus 5 [OSS Clang Kernel][Enhancements]

First of all, wiping dalvik does absolutely nothing useful. Encryption issues often arise because of doing the formatting process wrong or messing with the data. If you are clean flashing, I recommend doing a full format and set the FBE marker. That can be done on Linux and macOS using fastboot...

Let's clear up the confusion. The ROM is AOSP-based and has a few additions from CAF. AOSP is what Google provides, CAF is based on AOSP and is provided by CodeAurora (basically Qualcomm). While CAF is used alot by OEMs for their devices, it is not necessary nor does it give alot of advantages...
