    Post [Q] Nexus 10 launcher-layout on N7?

I don't want to, that's why I don't simply set the density to 160 dpi! Using PA works great. I've set everything to stock 213 dpi, except from the launcher. It is set to 160 dpi, 720p. That works the way it should and the smaller icons on the launcher are really ok. Regards McDV

    Post [Q] Nexus 10 launcher-layout on N7?

I knew that, but it really is small. Not the launcher, but the rest. I think you gave me an idea: If I use PA, I could just set Trebuchet to 160dpi - maybe that should work. Regards and thanks McDV

    Thread [Q] Nexus 10 launcher-layout on N7?

Once again I will ask, because I haven't found anything yet. Is it possible to modify the N7-launcher (or maybe Trebuchet, since I'm running CM 10.1) to match the look of the Nexus 10-launcher in landscape mode? What I mean is this...

Thread [Q] Nexus 10 launcher on Nexus 7?

Hi! When you look at the Nexus 10 you will find that the launcher has a real landscape-mode. I'm missing this mode on our Nexus 7. I.e. on the Nexus 10 the dock is at the bottom, we are having it on the right side and we have no search-bar. Is there already a way to get the Nexus 10...

Hi! First of all I hope this is the right forum for my question. At the moment my brother is in NYC and he has his Galaxy S III with him, but with his German SIM-card. He will stay there until christmas and would like to have an American data-plan. Can you recommend a plan and a carrier? He...

Thread [Q] BT-Tether simply loosing the connection

Hi! I'm running CM10 on my GNex and on my Nexus 7. I'm tethering my N7 using Bluetooth with my GNex. Unfortunately I always loose the connection after about one minute. It helps to use the app "Bluetooth Keep Alive" on my GNex to prevent it from sleeping. But that really isn't the way it...

Thread [App request] Open notifications on proximity-detection

I just read the Wave Control Theme and had some very useful idea: I often have meetings where I can lay my phone onto the desk, but it wouldn't be very kind to touch it to read notifcations. If the phone would, by waving over the proximity-sersor, wake up and show the notifications, that would...

Thread No notification-light in silent mode

Hi! In the last few days I noticed, that when I run my GN in completely silent mode (in meetings etc.) and I receive Whatsapp-messages, I get no notification-light. I think - but am not sure - that it's the same with other notifications. In vibration-mode it's no problem. I would like to see...

Thread Nexus One freezes - any solution?

Hi! I'm having the problem that my girlfriend's Nexus One often freezes. It was on stock Android 2.3.6 as well as on MIUI and now CM 7.2. Post [MOD][SOURCE][AOSP][4.1.1] How to enable Rotation Lock on the Galaxy Nexus

Is it only possible to compile it from source? Or can I use apktool to decompile and modify framework-res.apk for this? The point is that I'm running stock ROM but would really like this rotation-lock-toggle as a MOD. ;)

Post [Q] Maps Latitude doesn't work within Jelly Bean

I remember those people, who complained about asking for this problem while we only had the inofficial JB-version... Post Adobe dropping flash mobile..unstable on jellybean..

Who needs flash? When it first came out for Android I installed it. But to be honest it's only good for ads that slow down the browser... By now I haven't even installed it and I don't miss it. It's the task of the websites not to use flash anymore.

OK, had a look at the ZIP. There are no GApps inside, as expected. One would need to add them. And the Apks are deodexed. Maybe in this ROM odexed would be better, we want to have the butter-experience and odexex ROMs ar said to be even smoother. Gesendet von meinem Galaxy Nexus mit Tapatalk 2

Post US judge grants injunction on Galaxy Nexus

Apple's products are not bad at all. Some time ago I thought about buying an iPhone and before I had my Xoom I had two iPads. But there are some things I absolutely hate: 1) Apple does everything to prevent the user from using the devices the way he wants it.You canonly use what Apple offers...

Post US judge grants injunction on Galaxy Nexus

At least in Germany you only can have a patent that protects something totally new. I don't think they would get it here. And all those US-patents do not count here, that's why Apple can only get injunctions against devices, that look too similar to their devices. The technique is no problem...

Post US judge grants injunction on Galaxy Nexus

OK, how can Google really hit Apple? It's easy, in German employment law besides the walkout of the employees, the employers have the ability of locking the employees out. What I mean: apple locks out Google. So Google needs to lock out Apple. Google owns YouTube and nearly everyone - also...

    Post Jellybean batt life observation

How can you tell about battery-life, if you are using another kernel?! Please remember that the kernel is one of the most important parts of the OS. Changing the kernel will likely affect battery-life. So please, if you want to find out how battery performs on THIS JB-build, you should use this...

Post My dillema... Sell Xoom for Nexus 7?

Don't take the Transformer Pad if you like updates. Only Nexus-devices are updated like Nexus-devices. Of course the community normally manages to build custom ROMs after some time, but those are better with the proper proprietary files. And, of course, most of the devs prefer Nexus-devices, so...

Post ICS Phone UI on Xoom

If you should still be interested in that: I think you need to decompile framework-res.apk. Then, somewhere in "values", you can activate the navbar. While in tablet-mode it always is shown, in phone-mode it is only shown when activated. If you do so, it should work!

Nexus 7 has no HDMI-Mirroring? Really? That's bad... Also the GNex has it... Personally I got a Xoom (running CM9) and a Galaxy Nexus (actually running the leaked JB-release). Post My dillema... Sell Xoom for Nexus 7?

I will be out much earlier. On Google I/O (I watched it live on YouTube) it was said that JB would roll out to the Galaxy Nexus, Nexus S and Xoom in mid july! Post [Q] [Jelly Bean] Nexus 7 UI on Galaxy Nexus?

I tried 192 dpi. I think that's not the same. First Nexus 7 uses 213 dpi, that's not that small. But a big difference is that on Nexus 7 the navigation bar always stays at the bottom as it seemed on the keynote. On my Galaxy Nexus it is always on the short side of the display. Just one...

Hi! While the Nexus 7 UI is a disappointment for many people, I think it would be a great alternative for our Galaxy Nexus! Post [Q] Maps Latitude doesn't work within Jelly Bean

I will try that. :-) Why should we? 1) I generally use CM9-nightlies, so why not this? 2) It surely is not very unstable, instead, it's pretty stable. Post Jelly Bean 4.1 will be announced next week. What are you expecting for the Gnex?

The GN (GSM) will get the update immediately. When Google releases a new version of Android, there needs to be a phone on the market running it and of course it needs to be a Nexus. So either they will immediately update the recent Nexus or they will release a new phone. They surely won't push...
