Post [New][July-16-2020]Unlocking bootloader on VZW Pixel 1 and XL

Sorry to get back to this thread so late. From looking at your screenshots, you're running QP1A.191005.007.A3, latest Android 10 (obviously?), however from what I remember, VZW pixels run QP1A.191005.007.A1, and even if they do run A3, it still shows October patch regardless (unlocked or VZW)...

Post Building Rom from Source for Redmi Note 9/10X Merlin

I never asked about your preference as I only stated facts about the issues with MIUI. I can see you are interested in digging yourself a hole further and further. Maybe you have to "read careful" as well. You carried on being insulting for no reason but YOU yourself are calling it "xiaomi rom"...

Post Building Rom from Source for Redmi Note 9/10X Merlin

How do you reference something so biased that it's not even relevant anymore? It is quite known that MIUI is a poorly designed rom and people who say it's good don't know what they're talking about. It offers a near exact clone of iOS which bothers me to why people wouldn't just use a iPhone...

Post [New][July-16-2020]Unlocking bootloader on VZW Pixel 1 and XL

Depends how long it will be back People from telegram have already been testing it and they said it wasn't working for them. I honestly still think the connectivity procedure (how your ISP and router is setup) can affect how it ungrays PS - I still think it's worthy to actually "prove" your...

    Post Infinite bootloop FIXED!!!

This is a light case scenario, because people who are in this kind of situation don't have a issue with the buttons. You would probably be able to define this behavior if the screen immediately blacks out, or you see a blue line across the display (sign of hard reboot). More common cases are the...

Post [How-to] Unlock bootloader on Verizon Pixel/XL

Anyone here experienced or professional in networking? I am not going to claim that to unlock VZW pixels that you NEED to have a device connection, but maybe would it be possible to target our home router because it sends information back and forth? Users before have made up some ideas about...

Post Google Pixel XL - BootLoop - Momentarily solves with hair dryer

It's onboard UFS failure. I had this exact behavior on one of my pixels, but it got so bad that a portable floor heater would not even let it boot. The only real way to fix it is to repair the UFS chipset on the device.

Post [New][July-16-2020]Unlocking bootloader on VZW Pixel 1 and XL

It sucks to be honest, and the people reporting the OEM unlock ungraying itself during the "deadline" (sept 2019 > july 2020) may be reporting actual VZW pixels that also found vulnerable moments. Some theories stated that when Google and VZW (it may not even be correct that VZW has a role)...

Post [New][July-16-2020]Unlocking bootloader on VZW Pixel 1 and XL

Last resort option is letting the device sit for a day or two by itself after you open up a few websites. If still doesn't work then it's patched. So sorry about it. Its honestly ridiculous VZW cares about 4 to 5 year old devices now, obviously not getting any more customers by doing that.

Post [How-to] Unlock bootloader on Verizon Pixel/XL

This is correct. Many safe roms at the moment are Lineage or Bliss, essentially any rom that doesnt use the KingKernel at the moment. If you want you can also flash a new kernel under the affected rom and that should solve the issue, but we are not sure if the compiled rom is also affected to...

Post [New][July-16-2020]Unlocking bootloader on VZW Pixel 1 and XL

I did not argue and say that this would stay forever, in fact I said to do it immediately, as the time frame would close almost instantly. For this reason, I apologize dearly if you did not get your chance for bootloader unlocking. Many users who have unlocked have logged actual IP's from VZW...

If you can gather enough evidence that your device is a Google store device, you can go here. To get a 50% chance of displaying actual correct device, you can download Simple CID Getter on the Play store. Cheers. Let me know how it goes.

Post [New][July-16-2020]Unlocking bootloader on VZW Pixel 1 and XL

Your IMEI is either unknown due to uninstalling android.phone, or actual corrupted/blacklisted EFS. If true, nothing can be done about that. When you reset the device, did you flash December Android 10, and in the setup process, disable all the requests (data location, wallpapers, etc). Is...

Post Unlock Bootloader on Verizon Pixel 2 [CONFIRMED]

This will not work. The furthest Pixel 2> may get is a ungrayed OEM unlock, but after a ungrayed OEM unlock, you have to combat the on board security chip that deals with the OEM lock on the phone. Pixel 1 users are able to complete this because this security chip is absent on the device. Cheers...

Post [How-to] Unlock bootloader on Verizon Pixel/XL

Hey guys. After 5 months of my purchase I finally achieved bootloader unlocking. Basically I am a user that has never updated to latest, I don't know if it makes it a variable if you're already on latest and try this. (I was coming from Sept 2019). So what I did was factory reset from the system...

Post [How-to] Unlock bootloader on Verizon Pixel/XL

This is correct. Service unlocking does not permit OEM unlocking. This is because the device is still registered in the system as a VZW device (Hence you plug your imei into google store repair, it shows _vz), etc.

Post [How-to] Unlock bootloader on Verizon Pixel/XL

These phones were never sold with TMO iirc, it was only verizon. In this case he unlocked it or the seller unlocked it beforehand. Service unlocking does not allow OEM unlocking.
  28. djared704

Post [How-to] Unlock bootloader on Verizon Pixel/XL

Do you believe that may be why? Since the motherboard isn't by verizon, still basically google, it may require those "stipulations" to unlock. Meaning incorrect information was stored in the phone regarding OEM unlock. Your pixel may be a google store after all. But without evidence, we can't...

Post [How-to] Unlock bootloader on Verizon Pixel/XL

You can also put in the serial number too to find it too. I don't think you're able to put in the "model of the pixel" because it is generic, so you either have to do SN or imei. Thanks!

Post [How-to] Unlock bootloader on Verizon Pixel/XL

Hey guys. I'm here to shed some light. Previously we have been obviously taunted with the existence of a "hTC-download" mode, with no evidence of it actually being enabled by default on pixel, showing with evidence that some kind of token needs to be sent to the pixel to "fastboot oem...

Post [How-to] Unlock bootloader on Verizon Pixel/XL

    Post Yet another bootloop

As far as I know if you boot recovery, which "booting recovery" reads off the ufs chip, to get you data (like phone storage, efs, etc), and if it doesn't find this so called "ufs" chip, it will restart, since all it's a Qualcomm device, all Qualcomm devices do that. You may try booting twrp (I...

Post [How-to] Unlock bootloader on Verizon Pixel/XL

I have a theory for your case then. It has also been proven on the Pixel 4. If you bought the device brand stinkin new with no VZW sim in it, that means NO one ever turned on the device before you did, and it especially booted without a VZW sim in it, potentially it would unlock as a regular...

Post [How-to] Unlock bootloader on Verizon Pixel/XL

You have to do the quick tests to actually ensure if it's a VZW device or unlocked (Unlocked should be _p on google site, vzw will be _vz) Mate if this was the case this whole entire thread wouldn't exist.

Post [How-to] Unlock bootloader on Verizon Pixel/XL

You may have to turn on wifi because it has to check with the inet to prove if it's a store or VZW pixel. Regarding BL unlock, you may unlock with dePixel8 only on 7.1.0, you MAY get away with it on 7.1.1, but so little reports of it happening almost make it seem fake. Good luck.

Post [How-to] Unlock bootloader on Verizon Pixel/XL

Apparently there may a very very small case of possibly unlocking bootloader on VZW pixel 1 again. There is a Chinese service known by the name of "Taobao", performing premium paid bootloader unlocks for Pixel 1. Now at XDA, we do not agree with charging people in any way. The first way the old...

Instead of insulting him, and the entire community, do you think he's actually grabbing on to something? He has to be talking about the temp root that march 2020 has a exploit for. This is Pixel 1, I assume you know that, obviously this isn't going to work. You will have you refer to your board to talk with them with unlocking the bootloader for verizon. Regarding IMEI 35, it's a 50/50 chance, but run that checker that consists of the Google store network tab, as far as I...

You should be able to use any kind of Micro USB cable that has a big thicker width. Especially the really short ones won't work because they don't contain the correct connectors. We've tried everything. We've even have a open telegram channel where many people gave us really good ideas that unfortunately did not work but it gave us a idea of how we had to work around it. Maybe someday the table will flip and that oem unlock will be selectable again.
