Thread sm-t380 - Boot loop when I tried installing TWRP

Post Upgrade path from xXx no limits 10.2 to OOS 9.0.5?

Two MOre questions... I think i read somewhere how to remove compatability.zip, but I will need to check on that. IS there somewhere I can reference? and does this have to do with the unencrypted data partition? Also I saw a TWRP 3.2.3 that had "nocompat check" IS this something to do with...

Thread Upgrade path from xXx no limits 10.2 to OOS 9.0.5?

I have seen some simlar posts, but in my case the phone is unencrypted. Currently TWRP3.2.1-1. I am thinking of going back to stock OOS and reinstalling twrp and magisk. I have a full backup through twrp and sd backup through adb, so I am not worried about losing anything. What's is the...

Post [APP][MOD]Spectrum TV [Project BETA][CLOSED BY ADMINS]

I do the same thing. I use dynamic dns service to make sure my domain is always correctly pointing to my current ip address from spectrum. The service is pretty cheap. Dd-wrt router firmware will poll and update as needed which is nice

Post [APP][MOD]Spectrum TV [Project BETA][CLOSED BY ADMINS]

I have been able to do this, but it requires you to VPN to your home network. My configuration is as follows: - Dd-wrt router at home running openvpn - Download and install "openvpn for Android" - determine the ip address that spectrum reaches out to for content. (This can be a pain but I ran...

Ibuprophen, Thank you so much for helping out with this. It looks like this working for me (Sort of). I think the reason another earlier build from you did not work for me is because I was an idiot and downloaded the top link in the list of the three versions you posed. I just figured the...

So I tried your original posting quote a few posts ago, and that one works fine with a rooted device. Thanks! Not sure why the later one did not work. Is there a chance you could see if the Mirroring check could be bypassed? Error code DFE-1100.

One other think to point out, is that the check for root occurs when the "Live TV" button is pushed and Not at startup of the app.

I doulbe checked by removing all the ALKs I have around, on the computer and phone (OP5), and reinstalled. Still get the DFE-1009 error. I know other APKs that have been linked on here have worked with regards to root, but this one did not. I am curious. I use Magisk for root. Are you using...

I just tried this and it found the phone rooted. Also, I did not realize this but, duh, I do not have an android device that has HDMI (I know, no set top box!!!) just using my phone, so I will not be able to test the HDMI check. If you DO see something for the Miracast check I would be all in...

Castinh checks removed? It would be great if someone could look into removing the casting checks from this app. I would find it more more useful than the HDMI check. I have started researching the basics or decompiling and looking at the output but have not had much time to delve into it much...

Ok, Now I see where the app puts the channels I can not access (at the bottom of the list). It looks like a miss the local OTA channels. I still get spectrum News channel for Central Florida, which was confusing me. I just VPNed back in and I now see the channels I was missing.

I am using the Android OpenVPN client V3.0.5. I connect to DDwrt router at the house. Whats most interesting is that I do not need to connect to the VPN to have the spectrum app work on my phone. I am in California right now but my house is in Orlando.

I recently had my nexus 5 replaced by LG. I had a full TWRP backup and complete backup of the "SD Card" to my local computer. Well now that I have my new phone back, TWRP will not allow me to push my backup onto the phone (Due to the hash that is generated on each phone to prevent TWRP from...
