    Post [ROM][11.0][OFFICIAL][CEPHEUS] crDroid v7.10 [14.09.2021]

Well, don't know about 'newest' Magisk 23. I've installed official Magisk 23.0 at least. What needs to be mentioned is that all modules related to SafetyNet need to be uninstalled. Apart from Universal SafetyNet Fix these might be e. g. Riru, LSPosed or even others. I never installed them...

    Post [ROM][11.0][OFFICIAL][CEPHEUS] crDroid v7.10 [14.09.2021]

    1) I deleted data and cache for both, Google Play Store and Google Play Services. 2) I uninstalled 'Universal SafetyNet Fix' in Magisk. 3) Rebooted. Done. Cheers Toscha

    Post [ROM][11.0][OFFICIAL][CEPHEUS] crDroid v7.10 [14.09.2021]

Hi, just installed the OTA update. Worked perfectly fine. SafetyNet check is passed, Play Store certified. Big thank to @raystef66 for ongoing support here! However, Google Pay still claims that the device is modified and doesn't fulfil safety requirements. What may I miss? Solved. :) Cheers...

    Post [ROM][11.0][OFFICIAL][CEPHEUS] crDroid v7.10 [14.09.2021]

Have you tried to uninstall the update just using the original version? Might be risky in terms of security but worth a try. Cheers Toscha

    Post [ROM][11.0][OFFICIAL][CEPHEUS] crDroid v7.10 [14.09.2021]

Obviously the same versions. Weird ... You can try to delete all data from Play Store and GPay. Which means you'll lose your payment history. And there's no certainty that it'll work then. Cheers Toscha

    Post [ROM][11.0][OFFICIAL][CEPHEUS] crDroid v7.10 [14.09.2021]

Which version is it in your case? Here's the last update now 2.134.389763251 which runs perfectly fine on a rooted device. Cheers Toscha

    Post [ROM][11.0][OFFICIAL][CEPHEUS] crDroid v7.10 [14.09.2021]

Can't confirm. I'm using OpenGapps Pico and everything runs smooth. Cheers Toscha

    Post [ROM][11.0][OFFICIAL][CEPHEUS] crDroid v7.10 [14.09.2021]

In the first post there's a link to XDA thread for TWRP. And there the official version is linked. If yo go for any other version don't blame crDoid maintainer for it. Further more the maintainer is not responsible for which Gapps you choose. You can basically take the Gapps you like; in my...

    Post [ROM][11.0][OFFICIAL][CEPHEUS] crDroid v7.10 [14.09.2021]

Two suggestions. Start from a stock ROM not from any EU-whatsoever ROM. I'd recommend the current Fastboot-ROM rather than a Recovery-ROM. Secondly take the official TWRP, currently it's 3.5.2_9-0. No idea though for Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_11.02.2020.zip, never used that one. Cheers Toscha

    Post [ROM][11.0][OFFICIAL][CEPHEUS] crDroid v7.10 [14.09.2021]

I don't get the problem. Just flash NikGapps SetupWizard before booting into ROM. Cheers Toscha

    Post [ROM][11.0][OFFICIAL][CEPHEUS] crDroid v7.10 [14.09.2021]

Actually I'd suggest so. Simply because your problem is not a general one, for most others SELinux is 'enforcing'. Since I can't know your flashing history usually I'd start with a stock Miui ROM, if any possible Fastboot ROM should be preferred over Recovery ROM. And only then flash crDroid...

    Post [ROM][11.0][OFFICIAL][CEPHEUS] crDroid v7.10 [14.09.2021]

Yes, without any problems. Maybe you need to install SafetyNet-Fix linked in OP. But only once it's maintained after regular updates. Not in my case at least. But re-flashing Magisk is not such a big issue. And in case it is it should better not be installed at all. ;) Yes. Simply because...

    Post [ROM][11.0][OFFICIAL][CEPHEUS] crDroid v7.10 [14.09.2021]

It's working in crDroid perfectly fine as well. Although you might have made bad experience on a personal basis this is not the case for the majority of crDroid users. Cheers Toscha

    Post [ROM][11.0][OFFICIAL][CEPHEUS] crDroid v7.10 [14.09.2021]

Well, then it's easy. Stay with white or even better as suggested before with green colour for the sensor field. Although it should work immediately not only 'after few attempts'. Cheers Toscha

    Post [ROM][11.0][OFFICIAL][CEPHEUS] crDroid v7.10 [14.09.2021]

To me your problem is not totally clear. Can't you capture a fingerprint at all in settings? Or is it that a registered fingerprint is not recognised in the lock screen? Cheers Toscha

    Post [ROM][11.0][OFFICIAL][CEPHEUS] crDroid v7.10 [14.09.2021]

So what. With CORE you can easily install everything else you need from PlayStore directly. It's not in the responsibility of a ROM's maintainer to check each and every Gapps package which is available out there. TBH, there's in fact no responsibility for anything of a maintainer at all. Don't...

    Post [ROM][11.0][OFFICIAL][CEPHEUS] crDroid v7.10 [14.09.2021]

    Post [ROM][11.0][OFFICIAL][CEPHEUS] crDroid v7.10 [14.09.2021]

    Post [ROM][11.0][OFFICIAL][CEPHEUS] crDroid v7.10 [14.09.2021]

That's weird, indeed. I always flash or re-flash NikGapps Core (smallest package available) and never had issues. Apart from the well-known and described fact that NikGapps need to be flashed after each OTA update again. That's not weird that's the behaviour to expected after (re-) flashing...

I've a weird issue with my Mi 9. Not a big deal rather a funny occurrence. :) I've set a scheduled 'Do not disturb' mode. Once it's activated and the screen goes off immediately the notification light starts flashing. Apparently there are none. It goes off immediately after activating the...

Don't worry about that message during boot. It's common for all 7.8 users but it's just a message not a real error behind. For your WiFi issue you should have read the announcement more carefully. There's a fix available in case of WiFi trouble. I have the same and the fix works perfectly...

    Post [ROM][11.0][OFFICIAL][CEPHEUS] crDroid v7.10 [14.09.2021]

I guess you totally confuse different things. 5G is a network technology for mobile data, it's the successor for 4G (LTE). It has nothing at all to do with WiFi. Maybe you're thinking about 5 GHz which is WiFi technology. 5 GHz is of course supported by both, Mi 9 and crDroid ROM. Cheers Toscha
  35. toscha42

    Post [ROM][11.0][OFFICIAL][CEPHEUS] crDroid v7.10 [14.09.2021]

5G function is primarily hardware related. A device needs a certain 5G hardware module (sender, transmitter etc.) to connect to 5G networks. The Mi 9 simply does not have such module. crDroid is totally out of the picture here since it doesn't need to support a non-existent module.

Funny I see the same on crDroid. Since two days the battery is melting away like butter in the summer sun. According to GSam Battery Monitor it's currently more than 7 % per hour (combined usage), used to be approx. 1.2 % before. Like in your case I didn't change anything so I assume it's side...
