Post [Q] Putting Android on Yoga Tablet 2 8 for Windows

I haven't used my Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 for a long time, but I had clean-installed Windows 10 with all the drivers, but I have the problem that at some point after the clean-install it starts bluescreen'ing right at Boot-time. Bluescreen error shows ntfs.sys being the problem. I'm sure it's...

Post Linux user unable to find the correct process to get a custom rom installed and very confused

    1. Unlock bootloader. This will factory reset your phone. I forgot the exact process of this, was a long time ago when I did this. 2. Flash a Custom Recovery with "ODIN" "TWRP" is the most common Custom Recovery. I think ODIN is Windows-only Software, but you could use a VM. 3. Boot into...

Post Galaxy Note 8 display flickering

It should be fine to do updates. DC Dimming is an unrelated topic. Downgrading the ROM (aka Firmware) is possible, but not sure if an unlocked bootloader is needed for a Downgrade. If this was caused by a software update I don't know. When trying to flash the original ROM, what settings are set...

Post Question 40º celcius while charging - is it normal?

I think you are a bit overprotective. Explosion Risk? Come on. I know it can still happen, but it's so rare. Yes generally heat causes Battery degradation, but it also depends on the phone and how good of a job the manufacturer has done. 10 Watt Charging is really slow man... I also don't...

Post Question 40º celcius while charging - is it normal?

Yes sir. Xiaomi claims to have done a lot of in-house testing with their chargers, and their batteries having stood up a lot of cycles I think.

Post Question Sensors question about battery drain

Are you using Always On Display? You could install AccuBattery, give it Usage Access, and check if it gives you useful data after a period. It could also be that Double-Tap to Wake or Fingerprint for Lockscreen perhaps use battery, but I don't know how much. Just a speculation. For me battery...

Post Question 40º celcius while charging - is it normal?

The faster the charger, the higher temps, therefore more battery degradation. However, 40°C is still o.k. I think. I think the advantages of using Fast Charging are bigger than the disadvantages. Keep in mind, the biggest battery degredation comes simply from age. Here's an informative video...

Post Question Bootloop to fastboot logo and back in lock state

I once hardbricked (complete blackscreen, not even Fastboot reachable) a Poco F3. I requested a replacement from Amazon and that worked. I said a software update bricked it. Of course having to do that is really bad, but I was scared of opening the back.

Post Question Bootloop to fastboot logo and back in lock state

Is it not even possible to flash Official ROMs? Isn't there like a system that it checks the signature of the ROM and if it's a signed ROM it allows the flash? Or am I mistaken?

@ione2380 @Rstment ^m^ Don't do my method! It's not safe actually. I found out that disabling system-app "Battery & performance" breaks some background activity. I'm really sorry. I edited my posts to remove mentions of that method.

Post How to enable Call recording in calls, in Europe?

Samsung OneUI always had Call Recording integrated, however, it's disabled for EU and other regions. You can re-enable it with Root. You have to replace the file /system/omc/[XXX]/cscfeature.xml because it's a cryptic placeholder file. You will have to replace "XXX" in the folder path with your...

Post Question Poco F3 Battery Issues

I don't have anything in my mind that could potentially help you, other than reflashing the ROM. Post Question Poco F3 Battery Issues

That looks very wrong and looks like a hardware problem. Did this occur over time, or right after you got your device? Poco F3 easily holds 2 days on light usage, or 1,5 days with mid-heavy usage. Your graph looks very bad. If AccuBattery isn't able to show information about your battery...

    Post Question Xiaomi Eu 12.5.6 - 12.5.7

You can install Magisk by downloading Magisk.apk from that GitHub page and renaming it to Magisk.zip and flashing it in TWRP. That's easier than having to patch boot.img :)

    Post Question Xiaomi Eu 12.5.6 - 12.5.7

No don't worry. Yes the size is normal, because it's a full Recovery ROM, which are for both Clean-Install and Updating. There are also Incremental ROMs which are small and only contain changes since previous build and thus can only be used for updating, but you only get such ROM update files...

    Post Question Xiaomi Eu 12.5.6 - 12.5.7

Yes but not necessarily. Flashing a ROM-Update will also flash a new boot.img, and boot.img also contains the Recovery Mode. However, Xiaomi.eu for Poco F3 has Nebrassy's TWRP 3.5.1 integrated. So if you have Asishoth's TWRP 3.5.2 before the update, Xiaomi.eu will replace it with Nebrassy's...

    Post How To Guide [Removed]

That's what people refer to as Adaptive Refresh-Rate, even though Poco F3 doesn't have hardware-supported Adaptive Refresh-rate like the latest iPhones or G-Sync/FreeSync Monitors. Poco F3's ARR is just simple software-logic, it switches to 60 Hz temporarily when the screen is static and no...

Post General Adaptive refresh rate, apps stuck in 60hz

I use the latest Xiaomi.eu Weekly. AccuBattery's "Recalibration" just means it does a little check. It will ask you to connect your phone to a charger. It doesn't modify anything. The negative current in your screenshot means it's discharging. And yes I also think your mentioned 25000...

Post General Adaptive refresh rate, apps stuck in 60hz

YouTube, Google Photos etc being 60 Hz is on purpose by Xiaomi. There is also a bug where your phone gets set to 60 Hz randomly for all apps. When that happens, you have to set 60 Hz and then 120 Hz again, or enable & disable Battery Saver through a Quick-Tile, that's faster.

I have also tried OneOS, it really is very similar. But I pick Xiaomi.eu, because OneOS is based on Xiaomi.eu. There isn't much difference beyond a few added customisation-menus. I use Weekly. My favourite is Xiaomi.eu Custom ROM (they are not affiliated with Xiaomi). It's the latest version of MIUI straight from China. I don't like MIUI, but it has Xiaomi's Vibration tweaks, MIUI Dolby, and the MIUI Camera App. On AOSP ROMs you only get a basic Open Source Camera that can only...

In MIUI-based Custom ROMs you get all the megapixels. On AOSP-based ROMs I think your only chance is ANX Camera, but thats not available for some Xiaomi phones. I think Poco F3 is not officially supported yet. This is the project: https://camera.aeonax.com/

Post Question [Q] aosp/linegae based rom that didnt have bluetooth delay

The delay/latency is entirely depended on what BT Audio Codec is supported by both the phone and the BT Audio device (unless there's something wrong with the ROM). "AptX" is recommended. Your BT Audio device may have its own app and a setting called something like "Gaming Mode", which would...
