    Post [ Again Update ] [ Tipo Dual(Single) ] ViPER4Android (V4A) Audio Effects

No real change? Sorry to bump such an old thread. First, I have to thank you for undertaking such a task. I really appreciate, as we all do. Your instructions are clear and easy to follow. I managed to install everything, and did what you said in the double-check section and sure enough...

Take a look at this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2142660 Ask around there. I'm no expert, but you should be able to reflash the kernel similarly if necessary. Cheers Sent from my ST21i

That's usually a screen you see when you do upgrade Android, maybe when you flashed that ROM it specified to call that animation. I don't believe that it is anything shady. Unless you do something with your kernel such that the hardware itself gets compromised, then your device will get bricked...

I'm sorry, I can't answer that question. I'm not really sure why you'd have to go back to stock, you shouldn't have to. All you need to flash a new ROM is a custom recovery. Your current ROM shouldn't affect the ability to flash a ROM. Droidriven correct me if I'm wrong Sent from my ST21i

You can always flash a custom ROM. What basically happens is that the folder that contains the files that will operate Android will be overwritten by those of your custom ROM. To do this, all you have to do is take the zip file of the ROM and flash it through your custom recovery. Sent from my...

The best place for you to find out is your devices' forum. I'm on the app so unfortunately I can't send you the link to that. Age of the tablet doesn't really mean very much unless the gap is so wide it means a total shift (to make an analogy, DDR3 and DDR4 RAM) in component technology. That's right the boot.img contains the kernel... but I'll need Linux to use mkbootimg to pull the ftf (basically a zip that contains the gzip that actually is the kernel) from the boot.img file. Wish me lunch luck (why did I type lunch?) XD

Droidriven I haven't found a way to kernel dump that doesn't scare or confuse me. One way is to just use Linux. Hold on. Yes. Now all I need is to find that ftf somewhere. I found this in the "Android Hacker's Handbook" - handy bit of kit, a little outdated maybe.
