    Post DRM backup

No DRM Keys = no warrenty You also lose the features of having such but a patched kernel literally brings them all back However what if this device grows unpopular with age, at that point you'd have to learn how to patch kernels yourself or update the tools that allowed such. Sent from my...

Post Using Google Camera and can't go bigger than 8 MP

Sony intentionally limited the camera with 3rd party apps You can shoot in 20mp but you lose camera2 which means Iso becomes emulated again (as a customer i think this is stupid) Sent from my Xperia Z5 using XDA-Developers Legacy app

    Post Question!

with samsung it may be the fact that the device has a seperate internal storage partition but the feature may be disabled and can be added or re-enabled with a custom kernel/rom with the z2 as previously mentioned the the internal storage is inside the data partition its generally not safe...
  12. Envious_Data

    Post Question!

I dont think thats possible This may be because data partition contains the internal storage and making the data partition un-usable may crash your phone since a lot of apps need well their app data or info from caches stored there. Sent from my D6503 using XDA-Developers Legacy app

Post Xperia Z5 E6653 Nougat Recovery

Most recoveries should be compatible but the Z5 doesnt have a normal bootloader meaning we have to wait for a custom kernel or use a outdated tool and hope it works in repacking the kernel Sent from my D6503 using XDA-Developers Legacy app
  14. Envious_Data

Post 7.0 port from zx ??

That wont be easy nor safe It would be a good idea not to try but to use alternative custom roms which are made for Xperia Z2 They will be far safer Sent from my E6653 using XDA-Developers Legacy app
  15. Envious_Data

Post Does [UB]ootloader affects photos ??

    Post Update 32.2.A.0.305 to 32.2.A.5.11

    Post Update 32.2.A.0.305 to 32.2.A.5.11

Post Looking for some info in XDA Town

I dont quite see how that would work because the issue is with some system apps holding a wakelock causing the battery to be drained I tested this on LP and MM just to see if LP was better and this wasnt happeneing at all on LP but did on MM and a few people i know with Z5s had the same issue.

Post What to expect from this phone? - Need Suggestions

the cameras post processing is messed up, instead of it sharpening the picture and reducing the noise it over-does it and creates the oposite result (this didnt happen on 5.1.1 but does on marshmallow) without DRM enabled the camera seems to be near perfectly sharpened on MM which I personally...
